We have expert betting tips for the cards this Tuesday at Moe and Taree.
There is plenty of value on offer for punters and we have picked out the best races throughout the day on Tuesday.
Tuesday horse racing tips
Race 1. (13:03) Able Mechanical Maiden (1200m)
#10 – Maddox @ $1.95 – Bet Now
John Moloney lines up the two-year-old filly that is nearing a win after consecutive placings. She finished third at Seymour before backing that up with a second placing at Sale.
Both are good form pointers for this race and she was only a half-length from the winner last start, so that is a good sign.
Her odds are shortening so take the value on offer.
Race 2. (13:35) Mbss Security Maiden (1200m)
#9 – Pitjara @ $3.50 – Bet Now
$3.50 for a James Cummings-trained runner coming off three consecutive placings is typically good shopping.
The three-year-old filly placed at Newcastle twice before running third at Hawkesbury. New South Wales form holds up well in Victoria and she can handle wet ground.
Drawing barrier 14 isn’t ideal but with luck, she should be right in the mix.
Race 4. (14:39) Viatek Maiden Plate (2050m)
#14 – Sweet Gold @ $3.10 – Bet Now
Punters have been having a tough time with Sweet Gold but she continues to run good races and deserves a win.
The Chris Waller-trained filly has placed on nine occasions and she has faced some tough fields throughout her career.
It is only a matter of time before she wins and $3.10 is worth taking on Tuesday.
Race 6. (15:43) Ladbrokes Cash In BM58 (1000m)
#4 – Deploys Alone @ $4.80 – Bet Now
Deploys Alone runs best fresh up and the John Sadler-trained four-year-old could kick off his campaign in style.
The son of Sepoy won at Moonee Valley fresh in December and although struggling since, he is better for the break.
It is a competitive field but the $4.80 represents each-way value.
Race 8. (16:47) Ladbrokes Odds Boost BM58 (1600m)
#2 – Chatelaine @ $2.15 – Bet Now
Chatelaine looks to have the class advantage over this field and she only needs luck from the wide draw to win.
The Patrick Payne-trained four-year-old drops in grade following three consecutive runs in BM64 grade. Taking the drop in grade is big and it should make the difference.
Her win at Echuca was mightily impressive and a repeat could be on the cards.
Race 2. (13:59) Taree Cup Carnival C1 (2000m)
#4 – Wild Sheila @ $3.10 – Bet Now
Kris Lees lines up the four-year-old mare that owns a win and seven placings. She has been around the mark her entire career and she could add a second win to her record.
The daughter of Animal Kingdom finished off nicely for third at Scone last start and it was a big turnaround after failing at Hawkesbury.
She has this field covered on raw ability and she should be tough to beat.
Race 3. (14:31) Stacks Law Firm Maiden (1250m)
#11 – La Girl @ $2.10 – Bet Now
We are going with another Lees trained runner, which should be breaking maiden status very soon.
La Girl is coming off a third placing at Randwick and that form stacks up brilliantly at Taree. She coped well with the heavy conditions on that occasion and a similar racing surface will be presented.
She has experience meeting tough fields in Melbourne and with only 54.5kg on her back, she is one of the best bets on the card.
Race 5. (15:35) The Galoots BM66 (1250m)
#3 – Illecebrous @ $6 – Bet Now
The three-year-old filly is searching for her third consecutive win and punters are again getting a good price.
She scored by a length at Grafton last start and she showed a good turn-of-foot in the straight to get past her rivals.
It was an encouraging performance and $6 is well worth taking.
Race 6. (16:07) Book Now Taree Cup BM58 (1000m)
#1 – Star Raider @ $1.95 – Bet Now
Star Raider is another Lees-trained runner, who could have a field day at Taree on Tuesday. The three-year-old gelding owns a win and two placings from three starts, which is a good record to date.
He has been primed with four trials this year and despite having not raced since September, he won his most recent trial at Newcastle.
$1.95 is short but he commands respect.
