Tuesday horse racing tips

Ballarat

Race 2. (13:30) Whitford Liquid Waste Maiden (1500m)

#9 – Think Jade @ $4.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Think Jade comes off a second placing at Cranbourne and the three-year-old is getting close to posting a maiden win.

The son of So You Think owns two placings from four starts and although he has been inconsistent to date, he’s good enough to fire up.

Barrier two is ideal and after opening at $4.50, his odds have firmed.

Race 3. (14:00) Cervus Equipment Maiden (1200m)

#7 – The Defiant One @ $2.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Holding steady in the market is The Defiant One, which scored a third placing at Geelong on debut and that form bodes well.

His subsequent runs were good enough, including a fifth at Rosehill and a fourth at Moe. He was only a length behind the winner last start and the spell should have done him some good.

We would be surprised if he didn’t firm in the betting on race day.

Race 5. (15:00) Porter Plant BM58 (1000m)

#13 – Madame Bolli @ $3.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Madame Bolli scored an overdue maiden win at Sale last start and she’s capable of doubling down on that effort.

The three-year-old daughter of Written Tycoon has been around the mark throughout her career and the 1.3-length win bodes well.

She gets every chance off the inside draw and she should push forward and be tough to catch.

Race 7. (16:00) Sportsbet Bet With Mates BM64 (1400m)

#8 – Show Some Decorum @ $5 – Bet @ Sportsbet

The Freedman-trained gelding is running out of chances, but he should be competitive at this level of racing.

He comes off a third placing at Moe and although he’s only a one-race winner, he didn’t get much luck in running after traveling wide.

Barrier 10 could see him being caught wide again, but punters get each-way odds to enjoy.

Scone

Race 1. (12:00) Congrats Mike Pritchard Maiden (1300m)

#1 – Kanalaide @ $2.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet

The Cody Morgan-trained son of Adelaide was only 1.2 lengths behind the winner on debut and he should show natural improvement.

He is a well-bred three-year-old that draws barrier two, so he’s going to get a dream run in transit.

This stable is going well and he should be well-backed on race day.

Race 2. (12:35) Inglis June Online Sale Maiden (1000m)

#9 – Minniti @ $2.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Minniti has rattled off three consecutive placings to start her career and it won’t take her long to notch her maiden success.

The well-bred daughter of Redoute’s Choice comes off a third placing at Wyong and dropping in distance shouldn’t be an issue.

After opening at $2.90, she has firmed in the betting and that is a trend that should continue.

Race 4. (13:50) Buy with Inglis Digital C1 (900m)

#1 – Our Fox @ $8 – Bet @ Sportsbet

The four-year-old gelding is fresh up and punters get value odds for this contest. He usually takes a run to find his form, but it’s not the strongest field.

The son of Foxwedge comes off a trial placing at Gosford and that form looks good for this contest. It should have him ready to fire and barrier two is ideal.

$8 is well worth taking and those odds should be snapped up.

Race 6. (15:05) Sell with Inglis Digital BM58 (1300m)

#2 – Chaready @ $2.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Chaready was the beaten favourite at Scone last start but he’s more than capable of bouncing back to the winners’ circle.

The three-year-old son of Myboycharlie has yet to finish worse than second in three of his four starts, and that consistency bodes well.

Barrier 12 is the only concern, but he has time to find cover and sprint late.
