Tuesday horse racing tips

Pakenham

Race 1. (13:00) John Duff & Co Maiden (1600m)

#8 – Heleva Deel @ $2.70 – Bet @ Sportsbet

The Henry Dwyer-trained three-year-old is getting close to a win after posting consecutive placings.

She is a well-bred daughter of Dundeel that finished third at Ballarat before placing at Sandown, so she hasn’t been facing easy fields.

$2.70 is a fair price and we expect that to shorten.

Race 3. (14:00) Schweppes Maiden Plate (1400m)

#9 – Sudann @ $2.70 – Bet @ Sportsbet

The four-year-old is a former Kiwi that finished second at New Plymouth last start and he has attracted interest in the betting.

He is a son of He’s Remarkable that looks to have a bright future and after opening at $2.90, his odds have firmed steadily throughout the week.

Expect a good run from the favourite.

Race 5. (15:00) Tyreright Pakenham BM58 (1000m)

#3 – Real Feeling @ $3 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Real Feeling is a solid three-year-old filly that has faced tough fields throughout her five-start career.

The daughter of Real Impact ran second at Moonee Valley three back before taking on a hot field at Flemington and running 13th.

Her effort fresh up was needed for fitness and getting 2kg off her back helps, so we wouldn’t turn down the $3.

Race 6. (15:30) Momentum Gaming BM64 (1100m)

#9 – Sessions Road @ $2.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Sessions Road hasn’t raced since breaking maiden grades in April last year, but he showed plenty of ability early on.

The son of All Too Hard finished sixth at Canterbury on debut before narrowly winning at Ballarat, so there is room for improvement.

There wouldn’t be money for him if he wasn’t fit, so expect a top effort.

Tamworth

Race 2. (13:35) Tab Maiden Plate (1000m)

#1 – Cut ‘em Up @ $3.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet

The Cody Morgan-trained three-year-old finished sixth on debut at Tamworth and it was an encouraging effort.

He was only 3.8 lengths behind the winner and he should get every chance with a 4kg claimer in the saddle. That will allow him to show a turn-of-foot and punters have cottoned on.

He opened at $3.80 and there has been a solid go for him, so include in win bets.

Race 3. (14:10) Great Northern BM66 (2100m)

#5 – Lovetheinvasion @ $2.05 – Bet @ Sportsbet

The three-year-old filly looks ready to win her second race after placing in three of her last four starts.

She is a daughter of Time for War that scored on debut and has been close since, so it’s only a matter of time before she wins again.

Bookmakers are keeping her safe and carrying 55.5kg on her back is ideal.

Race 5. (15:20) Thrifty Car Rental BM58 (1400m)

#2 – Being Naughty @ $3.30 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Being Naughty got the job done four back and has followed it up with three consecutive placings.

The three-year-old son of Benfica comes off a third placing at Coffs Harbour and there has been solid betting moves for the favourite.

He opened at $3.90, which didn’t last long and the $3.30 might not either.

Race 6. (15:55) Allsopp Signs BM58 (1200m)

#5 – Demeurer @ $3.30 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Demeurer comes off a win at Moree where he scored by 3.5 lengths, so it was an effortless display.

The three-year-old son of Smart Missile has looked good in all three career starts and barrier three will allow him to find a good spot in the running.

We expect the $3.30 to firm throughout the day, so take the odds available.
