We have expert betting tips for the cards this Tuesday at Kyneton and Wyong.
There is plenty of value available with bookmakers at the Tuesday meetings and we have our best bets across the two cards.
Tuesday horse racing tips
Race 1. (13:00) Hygain Maiden (1112m)
#11 – Northern Melody @ $2.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet
The three-year-old filly by Zoustar owns three placings from three starts and she handles all track conditions.
She has run twice on a heavy surface and once on a good surface, which came when running third behind Anatolia at Bendigo.
55kg on her back is ideal.
Race 3. (14:00) Bet365 Hanging Rock Maiden (1212m)
#8 – Rutherford @ $3.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Japanese form should stack up nicely at this level and Rutherford ran some good races at Tokyo last year.
The daughter of Deep Impact owns one placing from seven starts, but the level of racing was much stronger than a midweek race at Kyneton.
Punters are still getting excellent value odds.
Race 4. (14:30) Bet365 Odds Drift Protect Maiden (1875m)
#14 – Kapalua Sunset @ $2.25 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Kapalua Sunset was only 1.5 lengths behind the winner on debut at Geelong and she will only strengthen from that effort.
The daughter of Tavistock should appreciate the rise in distance and having Brett Prebble in the saddle with only 55kg on her back helps.
We expect the $2.25 to shorten throughout the day.
Race 6. (15:30) Bright Lites Catering BM58 (1112m)
#4 – Vanderland @ $4.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Vanderland showed potential with Bjorn Baker in Sydney and that form should hold up nicely in Melbourne.
The four-year-old owns a maiden win at Kembla Grange and five placings from only nine starts. It’s a solid record and he’s better than what he has been showing recently.
Punters get value odds and conditions look ideal.
Race 8. (16:30) Sole Refrigeration BM58 (1469m)
#2 – Dixie Built @ $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet
The seven-year-old gelding by So You Think is only a four-time winner from 34 starts, but he comes off am impressive win at Swan Hill.
He scored by 1.5 lengths against a tidy field, so that form bodes well. It capped off a consistent run of form, which included a win at Murtoa and consecutive second placings.
2kg comes off his back and punters get value odds.
Race 2. (13:45) Bovara Maiden Handicap (1350m)
#4 – Island Legend @ $2.35 – Bet @ Sportsbet
The three-year-old gelding is on debut after two impressive trials. He finished only a nose behind the winner earlier this month before scoring an emphatic trial win at Rosehill.
He scored by 7.8 lengths over 1030m, which bodes well over this distance. The further he goes, the better he gets, so put him on top.
Kerrin McEvoy rides off the inside draw, which is another bonus.
Race 4. (14:55) Haneco C1 Handicap (1600m)
#1 – Ma and Pa @ $1.85 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Ma and Pa scored a breakthrough win at Hawkesbury and he looks like a type who could rise through the grades.
The four-year-old son of Redoute’s Choice is bred to be good, and we’re not surprised by the short odds available with bookmakers.
We expect his odds to remain firm on race day.
Race 7. (16:45) Brilliant Cabac BM68 (1100m)
#2 – Parksville @ $3.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Parksville is a three-time winner from six starts, and although he failed at Randwick last start, this is easier.
The son of Vancouver looked good winning at Ballina and Coffs Harbour before running third in a Highway Handicap behind Nags to Riches.
It’s good form for this level of racing, so put him on top.
Race 8. (17:25) Prysmain Level C1 (1350m)
#1 – Different Strokes @ $3 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Different Strokes finished second behind Jojo Was a Man last week, which should be excellent form for this race.
The son of Hinchinbrook chased hard, and although coming up short, he didn’t lose any admirers with the effort.
Barrier three with Hugh Bowman in the saddle is ideal.
