We have expert betting tips for the cards this Tuesday at Kyneton and Wyong.
Tuesday racing is a great time to find value in Australian racing and we have our best value bets this week.
Tuesday horse racing tips
Race 1. (13:00) Hygain Maiden Plate (1100m)
#9 – Old Time Rock @ $3.70 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Old Time Rock started his career facing tough fields in the city, but he drops in grade and that could do the trick.
The three-year-old finished second at Wangaratta last time out after looking like the winner for most of the straight.
Expect him to roll forward again and show a good kick.
Race 2. (13:30) Bet365 Racing Refunds Maiden (1100m)
#10 – Baaqyah @ $2.10 – Bet @ Sportsbet
The three-year-old filly is close to scoring a win after three second placings from five starts.
She is coming off a second placing at Ballarat and she was good enough to race against a hot field at Moonee Valley last season.
It’s only a matter of time before she wins and she gets her best chance on Tuesday.
Race 4. (14:30) Bet365 Odds Drift Maiden (1200m)
#13 – Manaajim @ $4.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
The Lindsay Park-trained filly needs luck after drawing barrier 18, but she could drop back and storm home.
That’s what she did on debut at Moe, but she ran into traffic problems on the home bend, otherwise, she would have won.
She is a well-bred daughter of Lonhro that looks to have a bright future, and the $4.20 is a value price.
Race 5. (15:00) Iron Jack Maiden (1850m)
#14 – Azaly @ $2.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Azaly is another Lindsay Park-trained runner that shouldn’t stay in maiden grades for very long. He is a Dundeel colt that faced tough fields in Sydney to start his career.
He ran fifth behind Untamed at Randwick before coming to Victoria and finishing fifth at Benalla. He got too far back in the run, so rising to 1850m should be ideal.
After opening at $3, his odds have firmed and more money is expected to come.
Race 9. (17:00) Reine Happy BM58 (1450m)
#9 – Volatore @ $2.70 – Bet @ Sportsbet
The son of Nicconi scored a win on debut at Kilmore and he could remain unbeaten. Trained by the Maher/Eustace team, the three-year-old could rise through the grades.
He wasn’t wanted in the betting on debut when paying $19, but the odds are much shorter this time in and he shouldn’t let punters down.
Race 1. (13:05) De Bortoli Wines Maiden (1350m)
#3 – Write On @ $2.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
The form of Write On doesn’t inspire much confidence but he is better than that suggests. He wasn’t far behind some nice types at Wyong last start, and this is an easier race.
The son of Written Tycoon also has solid trial form in the city at Randwick, so that should hold him in good stead.
Punters have backed him early and that isn’t surprising.
Race 2. (13:40) Wyong Race Club Maiden (1100m)
#7 – Malkovich @ $1.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Malkovich is close to a win and he is coming off a tidy third placing at Randwick. He faced a tough field, but managed to run under a half-length behind Orpheum and I Am Swerving.
The latter has since won, so it is a good form guide and we are not surprised at the odds-on quote from bookmakers.
He is a speedy son of Choisir that looks the goods.
Race 3. (14:20) Coca-Cola Maiden (1100m)
#6 – Ballistic Lover @ $2.35 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Ballistic Lover deserves a win after three placings from her first four starts. The filly by Smart Missile is coming off a solid trial at Rosehill, and that bodes well.
Her most recent race day start was a second placing at Canterbury, and we’re expecting that form to hold up nicely.
Her odds are drifting but she should get every chance from an inside barrier.
Race 8. (17:25) Wyong’s Next Raceday C1 (1000m)
#3 – Belluci Babe @ $1.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Belluci Babe was a fantastic winner on debut at Kembla Grange and she looks like a nice type in the making.
The four-year-old mare scored by two lengths and her trial form since has included a win and a placing. Her second placing came behind Villami, which is red-hot form for this race.
The $1.60 is short but she deserves to be the odds-on favourite.
