Seymour racing tips
—
Race 2. (13:00) Seymour Equine & Rural Maiden (1000m)
#2 – Fridge Monster @ $2.20
Fridge Monster comes off consecutive second placings at Seymour and Echuca, which is excellent form for this race.
The four-year-old son of Overshare was a short margin behind the winner last time out, and he doesn’t need to improve too much.
We’re not shocked by the shortening odds.
Race 4. (14:00) Bet365 Never Ordinary Maiden (1600m)
#6 – Thunder Force @ $2.20
Thunder Force wasn’t too far away from them on debut at Sandown, and he won’t need to improve much to beat this field.
The four-year-old son of Night of Thunder meets an easier field, and it’s good to see money come for him.
Getting the inside draw with Blake Shinn riding helps.
Race 6. (15:00) Lubeck Plumbing Handicap (1411m)
#4 – Desert Star @ $2.50
We have been burned by Desert Star since he arrived from Hong Kong, but we’re giving him one more chance.
The Hayes-trained five-year-old owns a win and three placings from nine starts, including second placings at Cranbourne and Geelong earlier this prep.
His first win in Australia can’t be far away, and we’re happy with the odds.
Race 8. (16:00) Lovatsville & ATA Partnership BM58 (2015m)
#1 – Hand Me Down @ $6.00
Looking for consecutive wins is Hand Me Down, who turned his form around when winning at Hamilton last time out.
The five-year-old son of Zed is bred to enjoy the longer distances after winning at the mile, and that’s his biggest asset.
It’s a big weight to carry, but the each-way odds are generous.

Tamworth racing tips
—
Race 1. (12:55) Pat & Terry Burke BM66 (2100m)
#1 – Cenotes @ $2.60
Cenotes scored an overdue win at Tamworth last time out and back-to-back wins looks likely.
The five-year-old gelding by Rebel Dane is unbeaten in two starts at Tamworth, so the track specialist should be tough to beat.
He also runs well with Ben Looker riding, so there are many positives.
Race 3. (14:10) Tim Bell Country Boosted Maiden (1400m)
#2 – Gold Sluice @ $3.90
Gold Sluice didn’t fire on debut at Tamworth, but he improved when placing at Tuncurry last time out.
The four-year-old son of Jimmy Creed was a nose behind the winner last start, and it’s tough to overlook that form.
We’re happy with the odds available for a runner that should exit maidens soon.
Race 4. (14:45) Darren Jones Super Maiden (1200m)
#7 – Let’s Go Leo @ $3.50
Let’s Go Leo looks to cap off consistent form with a win and he’s long overdue a winning effort.
The four-year-old son of Bon Hoffa has turned his form around nicely with four consecutive placings, including a second placing at Dubbo.
With luck from a wide barrier, he has every chance to win.
Race 6. (15:55) Merv Corliss Tamworth Rush BM82 (1200m)
#5 – Life’s a Party @ $3.50
Life’s a Party is another runner nearing a win after consecutive placings at Bathurst and Dubbo.
The six-year-old mare owns four wins and four placings from 13 starts, and she has yet to finish worse than second over the distance.
Barrier five with only 55kg on her back makes her tough to hold out.
