2018 Vinery Stud Stakes Form Guide & Tips
Aloisia ($5) – BET NOW
Aloisia looked like the next big thing in the spring but hasn’t impressed in two runs back this campaign.
The Aaron Purcell-trained three-year-old didn’t fire in the Vanity or the Australian Guineas in Melbourne but she did win her only attempt over this distance.
Drawing barrier 14 isn’t going to help her chances and the $6 on offer is a touch short.
Alizee (Day’s Best – $6) – BET NOW
Punters could look at the form of Alizee and be instantly turned off, but her run last time out was better than it looked.
The James Cummings-trained filly ran only 2.3 lengths behind Daysee Doom when running out of her grade last start and dropping back to her own age group is going to help.
She showed her brilliant turn-of-foot when winning at Randwick three starts back and anything close to that run sees her winning this.
$6 is a good price and she should firm in the betting.
Bring Me Roses ($8) – BET NOW
Bring Me Roses is a well-bred filly by High Chaparral which finished close up in a blanket finish in the Coolmore Stakes.
The Tony McEvoy-trained runner has won only one of her nine career starts but she has placed on five occasions and she has solid each way claims in this.
She opened at $8.50 and has since firmed in.
Torvill ($19) – BET NOW
Another good each way prospect, Torvill has placed in all three runs this preparation and she has a big win in store this autumn.
The Clarry Connors-trained three-year-old finished third behind Alizee three back before running second behind Shoals.
That’s great form for this and if she can get a good run from barrier 11, she could finish over the top of them.
Rimraam ($19) – BET NOW
Lindsay Park lines up this daughter of Commands which was a good winner fresh up at Flemington before coming to Sydney.
She has run two good races behind the likes of Shoals and Luvaluva, but we’re not sure the form out of the Kembla Grange Classic is going to stack up best in this race.
She’s a chance at double-figure odds.
Unforgotten ($4.25) – BET NOW
That was an impressive win from Unforgotten at Rosehill last start but she’s making a big rise in class for this.
The Chris Waller-trained filly has won four from seven starts and there’s more wins in store if she shows the same turn-of-foot as last start.
Taking her at the $4.40 quote is a risk as she finished last of 11 runners at Randwick when taking on similar opposition and we’ll need to see her perform at this level first.
Danzdanzdance ($8) – BET NOW
Kiwi filly Danzdanzdance comes into this having finished third in the New Zealand Derby and NZ form is always good come the Sydney autumn carnival.
Any sting out of the ground is going to help her chances and punters know that she will get the distance of the Vinery Stud Stakes.
Dropping back to the 2000m is the only worry but she’ll be hitting the line well.
Hiyaam (Best Roughie – $13) – BET NOW
Hiyaam has the breeding to suggest that she could win the Vinery Stud Stakes and that was an encouraging run last time out.
The daughter of High Chaparral has Zabeel lines running through her breeding and although her most recent win came at Ballarat, she has been close up behind the likes of Pinot, Bring Me Roses and Luvaluva.
The inside draw is ideal and she’ll get every chance from there.
All Too Soon ($16) – BET NOW
We were keen on All Too Soon last start at Rosehill and she didn’t get much luck in the run.
Jockey Tye Angland got too far back on the David Payne-trained filly and she had too much work to do in the straight.
The slight rise in distance is going to help and we would be surprised if she wasn’t in the thick of the action.
Dancers ($41) – BET NOW
Hasn’t quite come up this campaign after showing good signs last time in work.
Better suited to midweek grade and a win here would be a big surprise.
Semari ($11) – BET NOW
Back-to-back wins coming into this and the Busuttin/Young team has been firing of late
The daughter of Sebring scored by 1.5 lengths over 2000m last start and having that winning experience over this distance is only going to help her chances.
$17 is a nice price and we wouldn’t be overlooking her chances.
Miss Admiration ($71) – BET NOW
She finally broke maiden grades last start but this is another class and she’ll likely struggle.
Madame Markievicz ($101) – BET NOW
The odds tell the story here.
Yet to win a race and winning a Group 1 is a stretch.
