Warrnambool Racing Tips for Wednesday, May 6th 2026

We have expert betting tips for racing at Warrnambool on Wednesday, which includes 10 races at the quality meeting.

Punters get good value odds for the Victorian meeting, and we have betting tips for every race on the card.

Race 1. (11:20) Warrnambool GWM Handicap (1200m)

#4 – Magiconi @ $3.40

Magiconi has shown solid speed at the jumpouts, and the Williams-trained runner has been well-backed to score.

The two-year-old son of Nicconi is trained on the track, which always helps, and having Dean Yendall riding is another positive.

It’s a tough race, but he has upside.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 2. (11:50) Bottle-O Warrnambool Maiden (1700m)

#5 – Raghnall @ $7.00

Raghnall has drifted in betting markets after opening at $4.40, but we’re happy with the better odds available.

The four-year-old son of Tosen Stardom ran third at Mornington fresh up before placing at Werribee, which are good form guides.

We’re happy to include him in picks at value odds.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 3. (12:20) Warrnambool Football Netball Club Maiden (1700m)

#4 – Kings Reflection @ $2.50

Kings Reflection wasn’t far away when running second on debut for Taige Weir, and it shouldn’t take him long to win a race.

The three-year-old son of Royal Meeting hit the line nicely to finish two lengths behind the winner, and rising to 1700m is ideal.

Punters should expect a tidy effort from the favourite.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 4. (12:55) Victory Treadmills Dunroe Steeplechase (3450m)

#1 – Point Nepean @ $2.15

Point Nepean showed toughness to hold off Stockman last time out, and that’s the best form guide for this race.

The Shane Jackson-trained gelding owns six wins from 19 starts, and he has yet to finish worse than third from five jumps starts.

He’s the testing material, so take the short odds.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 5. (13:30) Tab Maiden (1400m)

#1 – Enzo Charley @ $7.00

Enzo Charley is nearing a win after finishing second last time out at Avoca, and he has improvement to come.

The three-year-old son of Shamus Award comes from the Wilde stable, which has a lot of success at this carnival, so that fills us with confidence.

Take the $7 odds as a value price.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 6. (14:05) Margaret Lucas Galleywood Hurdle (3200m)

#6 – The Storyteller @ $3.40

The Storyteller was too good for them at Terang, and he’s good enough to win the Galleywood.

The five-year-old has yet to race at Warrnambool, which is a slight concern, but it’s a track that should suit the former Kiwi.

We expect a top effort, so the $3.40 odds are worth including in horse racing picks.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 7. (14:45) Sinclair Wilson BM70 (1400m)

#6 – Thebelmontgangster @ $6.00

Thebelmontgangster ran at $1.75 odds when finishing fifth at Caulfield, but he might be a wet-track type.

He won his only start in soft conditions, so he will enjoy the track, and after two poor efforts, he could get back to his best.

The Irish-bred thoroughbred is a good bet at the current odds.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 8. (15:20) The Midfield Group Colin McKenna Wangoom Handicap (1200m)

#14 – Oliveanotherday @ $2.20

Oliveanotherday has been good to punters this preparation with three wins, and there is no reason to jump off his back.

The three-year-old son of Nicconi comes off a win at Caulfield in wet conditions, scoring easily by two lengths, which is a great form guide.

54kg on his back makes him one of the best bets on the card.

Stake: 3 Units

Race 9. (16:00) Brolec Electrical BM66 (1000m)

#3 – Hello Romeo @ $8.50

Team Hayes lines up Hello Romeo, who won well two starts ago at Albury before finishing fifth at Sandown.

The three-year-old has taken on some tough fields throughout his career, and running on soft tracks is right up his alley. He has had eight starts for three wins and two placings in soft conditions, which bodes well.

2kg comes off his back to help with the weight.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 10. (16:30) The Whalers Hotel BM66 (2000m)

#10 – Inherently @ $5.50

Inherently is getting close to posting a win after four placings this preparation, and punters get each-way odds to enjoy.

The five-year-old son of Sheer Talent owns two placings at Warrnambool, and having experience on the track adds to his appeal.

Brad Rawiller riding adds to his appeal in an even race.

Stake: 1 Unit
