Warwick Farm horse racing tips & form
Race 1. (12:45) Easter Monday Handicap (1300m)
#1 – Spokesman @ $4.80 – Bet Now
We thought Spokesman would be shorter in the betting given his form. He finished third behind Prague on debut before beating subsequent winner Thermosphere.
He hasn’t raced since January but he scored a trial win at Rosehill and if he gets luck from the draw, he should be fighting out the finish.
$4.80 is a good price and Nash Rawiller rides.
Race 2. (13:20) Hyland Race Colours Maiden (1300m)
#6 – Archanna @ $2.40 – Bet Now
The three-year-old filly makes her debut after three solid trial efforts. She’s a daughter of Snitzel that scored her first trial win and has run well since.
Early money has come and with the booking of James McDonald, we’re not surprised to see that.
With luck from an outside barrier, she should be fighting out the finish.
Race 3. (13:55) Schweppes BM88 (2130m)
#4 – Kaapfever @ $6.50 – Bet Now
Kaapfever is mixing his form lately but he’s good enough on his day. The five-year-old is a three-time winner at Warwick Farm and he gets in with a light weight.
His best recent performance was a win at Warwick Farm in March and although beaten last start, he wasn’t all that far behind.
Drawing barrier two with only 54.5kg should see him right in contention.
Race 4. (14:30) Vinery Stallions BM70 (1600m)
#7 – All Time Legend @ $2.30 – Bet Now
All Time Legend scored a quality maiden win at Kembla Grange before running solidly at Randwick last start.
The son of Zoustar has won a trial since that fourth and most of the early money has come his way.
Kerrin McEvoy takes the ride and the $2.30 odds could shorten come race day.
Race 5. (15:05) Sky Racing Active BM74 (1200m)
#3 – Military Magic @ $2.70 – Bet Now
Military Magic has been scratched twice in the last two weeks, but she should make her resumption on Monday.
The unbeaten three-year-old had a trial on Thursday where she was given a very easy time of it. James McDonald rode her on that occasion and he sticks with her on race day.
Barrier nine is tricky but he’s riding in career-best form and this race is there for the taking.
Race 6. (15:40) Darley Stallions BM78 (1400m)
#12 – Surreal Step @ $8 – Bet Now
Surreal Step has the ability to beat a field of this quality and his recent run on this track bodes well.
The three-year-old finished second behind race favourite Chat and he could turn the tables this time around.
Drawing the rails is ideal and with only 55.5kg on his back, he comes into calculations.
Race 7. (16:20) Tab Venue Mode BM74 (1600m)
#2 – Romantic Whisper @ $4.60 – Bet Now
Romantic Whisper could go back-to-back after scoring an effortless win at Hawkesbury last time out.
The four-year-old led throughout the 1500m race and rising to the mile isn’t going to worry her in the slightest.
She won’t have a problem finding the lead off the inside draw and punters are getting value odds.
Race 8. (17:00) Tab BM70 (1300m)
#11 – Zakat @ $3.10 – Bet Now
Zakat is gunning for three consecutive wins after posting victories at Newcastle and Kembla Grange.
The Cummings-trained gelding could go from maiden grades to rating 70 in three runs, but he’s running well enough to do it.
It’s another quality ride for James McDonald and he could end the day with plenty of success.
