Warwick Farm horse racing tips
Race 1. (12:55) TAB BM78 (1300m)
#4 – Spiritual Pursuit @ $4.80 – Bet Now
The Jason Coyle-trained mare is better than what she has been showing this campaign, so we’re sticking with her.
She is a three-time winner from 12 starts and not everything has gone her way in three runs this time in.
Bookmakers are keeping her safe in the betting, which could be a sign of improved form. She’s good enough to stick with.
Race 2. (13:30) TAB Highway Handicap (1200m)
#2 – Mr Wong @ $4.40 – Bet Now
Mr Wong showed his potential when scoring at Randwick with ease last start. The 2.5-length win put the writing on the wall for a top campaign, after promising to do so last preparation.
The son of Mossman is a three-time winner from nine starts and although he remains up in the weights, he deserves to carry 58.5kg.
He owns more ability than most in this field.
Race 3. (14:05) Aquis Eskimo Prince Stakes (1200m)
#5 – Chenier @ $4.60 – Bet Now
Anthony Freedman lines up the three-year-old colt that created a big impression when winning on debut.
The well-bred type scored by 5.5 lengths at Sandown but was beaten at Sandown next time to the races.
The track might have been too wet on that occasion and punters should expect a much better effort this time around, despite facing a slick field.
Race 4. (14:40) Darley Lonhro Plate (1000m)
#6 – Ticket to Ride @ $4.40 – Bet Now
Ticket to Ride has had two runs for two third placings, including a good effort behind Rulership at Randwick last start.
The two-year-old filly by Vancouver showed a good turn-of-foot to finish third and she’ll derive good benefit from that effort.
This is a smart field but she gets in with only 54kg on her back and has every chance of breaking through for her first win.
Race 6. (15:50) Davali Thoroughbreds Cup BM78 (1600m)
#7 – She’s Ideel @ $3.70 – Bet Now
She’s Ideel is a nice type from the Bjorn Baker stable and she could win consecutive races within a week.
The well-bred mare by Dundeel scored by 3.8 lengths two starts ago and backed that up with a 1.5-length win at Randwick last start.
She’s heading in the right direction and off the inside draw with only 54.5kg on her back, she will be tough to hold out once again.
Race 8. (17:10) Bowness Stud Mile (1600m)
#5 – Shared Ambition @ $2.65 – Bet Now
Shared Ambition showed his class last campaign by winning five consecutive races.
The Melbourne-based four-year-old wasn’t beating much but he has been tipped as an early Melbourne Cup runner.
We’re not sure he’s that good but he’s certainly good enough to beat this level of opposition.
The $2.65 could firm into an odds-on quote come race day.
Race 9. (17:50) Yarraman Park Stud Sprint BM94 (1000m)
#2 – God of Thunder @ $2.40 – Bet Now
God of Thunder is a slick sprinter that owns three wins and five placings from only 11 starts.
The Hawkes-trained gelding is coming off a good campaign where he didn’t finish worse than third from five starts.
He scored a trial win by 5.3 lengths to prepare for this run and that’s a good betting guide. The $2.40 is a fair price given his talent.
