Warwick Farm horse racing tips & form
Race 1. (14:20) Territories @ Darley Maiden (1400m)
#1 – California August – Bet Now
Having race experience against a field like this is a big help and California August has had five starts.
The Peter and Paul Snowden-trained three-year-old owns three placings from those five starts. His most recent placing came last December at Newcastle and it’s good form for this.
He’s a well-bred son of Fastnet Rock and having James McDonald in the saddle from barrier two is ideal.
Race 2. (14:55) Casino Prince @ Vinery BM70 (1600m)
#7 – To Your Health – Bet Now
It took some time for To Your Health to score her second win but she did it in style at Randwick last start.
The five-year-old mare scored by 1.3 lengths when bursting through runners and that confidence could see her winning again.
She’s a daughter of So You Think that will enjoy rising up to the mile and she could be paying generous odds from bookmakers.
Back-to-back wins is certainly within her ability.
Race 3. (15:30) Tab Venue Mode Maiden (1400m)
#7 – Parche – Bet Now
Parche is going to need a lot of luck from barrier 18 but having James McDonald in the saddle helps with that.
The Gary Portelli-trained three-year-old filly has had two runs against some very good fields and that class could show up in this.
She’s a daughter of I Am Invincible that will enjoy dropping back in grade and if she gets some luck, she looks a strong each-way chance.
It will be interesting the see the odds on offer.
Race 4. (16:05) Sky Racing Active BM70 (1400m)
#1 – Snips – Bet Now
Snips has been in good form this campaign, which includes a win and two placings.
The David Pfieffer-trained four-year-old has finished out of the money in only two of his 10 career starts and that’s good consistency.
His win this campaign came at Kembla Grange when scoring by 1.8 lengths and he has been right around the mark since.
He has to carry a big weight but it’s good to see Kerrin McEvoy in the saddle.
Race 5. (16:40) Schweppes BM70 (1200m)
#8 – Anubis – Bet Now
Anubis is an intriguing runner that hails from the Chris Waller stable and could give punters some value.
The three-year-old colt by Foxwedge scored an impressive win two back before running last at Bendigo last time out.
He has had a trial since where he wasn’t asked to do much, but the booking of James McDonald is intriguing.
Watch for any late betting moves with this runner.
Race 6. (17:15) Hyland Race Colours BM70 (1000m)
#1 – Mossman Gorge – Bet Now
Mossman Gorge will have to carry a big weight but Billy Owen does take some weight off his back.
The Matthew Dale-trained runner has been running in the Highway Handicap races in town and that form should stack up nicely for this race.
He owns four wins and six placings from 18 starts and we’re confident that he’ll add another one to that list this week.
Race 7. (17:50) Grunt @ Yulong Australia BM70 (1400m)
#8 – Betty Blooms – Bet Now
Ron Quinton has a big opinion of this four-year-old mare and she showed glimpses of form last season.
The well-bred daughter of O’Reilly scored a win at Kembla Grange on a heavy track before running fifth last start.
She’s better than that and although her trial form coming into this has been only fair, she wasn’t asked to do much.
We’re expecting her to find her best form and bookmakers will have her firm in the betting.
