Warwick Farm horse racing tips & form

Race 1. (13:40) XXXX Maiden Plate (1100m)

#2 – Mars Mission @ $2.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Mars Mission finished third on debut at Sandown and his trial form since arriving in Sydney has been excellent.

The son of Deep Field finished second in a trial at Rosehill before winning by 1.8 lengths against a tidy trail field.

Barrier eight is a concern but Tommy Berry is riding in good form, so put him on top.

Race 2. (14:15) Drinkwise Maiden Plate (1400m)

#11 – Soprano @ $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Soprano looked good when running second at Newcastle two back and we’re picking her on that effort.

The three-year-old daughter of Sebring didn’t follow it up at Warwick Farm last start, but the run was better than it looked.

She finished off strongly behind Decisive Move and punters get odds worth locking in.

Race 3. (14:50) Harry Angel 1st Yearlings BM64 (1600m)

#5 – Decisive Move @ $4.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet

The Waterhouse/Bott-trained filly made her own luck last start when winning at Warwick Farm and we like her chances of going back-to-back.

She might have taken seven runs to break her maiden status, but the daughter of American Pharoah is talented enough to kick on with it.

The each-way odds appeal and she goes into the mix.

Race 4. (15:25) Vinery BM72 (1000m)

#7 – Fire @ $2.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Fire took on tough opposition during his first campaign and that experience holds him in good stead.

The Hawkes-trained gelding finished third at Randwick behind Aeecee Express before winning by 2.8 lengths at Bendigo.

He found stakes company too tough at Moonee Valley, but he rebounded with an easy trial win at Rosehill and we like his chances of kicking off with a win.

Punters should expect the $2.50 to shorten.

Race 5. (16:00) Buy Better at Inglis BM72 (1400m)

#8 – Zoo Station @ $5 – Bet @ Sportsbet

We loved the way Zoo Station chimed into the race and kicked clear to score a Highway Handicap win last start.

The five-year-old mare owns four wins and two placings from nine starts, including two wins over this distance. Running over 1400m allows her to find her groove before building late.

Barrier 11 isn’t a worry and she should be hitting the line strongly.

Race 6. (16:40) Tab BM72 (1400m)

#6 – McCormack @ $14 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Value is with McCormack, who turned his form around to finish second at Rosehill last start.

It was an overdue performance from the six-time winner, who could get back to his best on Wednesday.

It’s not an easy field but he gets 3kg off his back and punters get double-figure odds.

Race 7. (17:20) Inglis Australia Day Cup (2400m)

#4 – Mubariz @ $3.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Mubariz is overdue a winning performance and after finishing second last start, his time has come.

The Chris Waller-trained six-year-old is a two-time winner at Warwick Farm and running a short margin behind So You Win is a good form line.

Carrying 54.5kg is another positive and we’re expecting a big showing.

Race 8. (18:00) Stud and Stable Awards BM72 (1200m)

#1 – Dajraan @ $2.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Dajraan is an imported runner for the Waterhouse/Bott stable and he has been well-backed to score.

The son of Frankel won over 1400m last time out at Leicester and his two trial efforts in Sydney have resulted in a win and a placing.

The recent placing came behind Silent Impact, who has since won, so the form checks out.
