Warwick Farm horse racing tips & form
Race 1. (12:50) Press Statement @ Vinery Handicap (1200m)
#7 – Bastaki @ $5.50 – Bet Now
James Cummings lines up the two-year-old filly that is knocking on the door of a win. She finished second at Newcastle last time out and she has since placed at the trials.
She is a daughter of Snitzel that won’t take long to break through and with Jason Collett in the saddle with 54.5kg, she should get every chance.
The inside draw is another advantage so look for a betting push on race day.
Race 2. (13:25) Harry Angel @ Darley Maiden (1200m)
#1 – Absolute Legend @ $3.80 – Bet Now
Les Bridge has a good record with his debutantes and Absolute Legend could be the next star of the stable.
The son of Not a Single Doubt scored a one-length trial win at Randwick to prepare for this run. It was his fourth trial and he showed good speed throughout.
Rachel King will likely settle close to the speed and put him in the race early.
Race 3. (14:00) Drinkwise Mile BM70 (1600m)
#6 – Galahad’s Quest @ $4.80 – Bet Now
The Joe Pride-trained gelding is getting close to a win after posting four consecutive placings this campaign.
He is a four-time winner that has plenty of experience and his recent form is good enough to warrant attention in this race.
He battled on nicely behind a smart type in Le Gai Soleil last start, so put him on top based on that form.
Race 4. (14:35) Yulong Stallions BM66 (1400m)
#4 – Lubuk @ $7 – Bet Now
Lubuk is coming off a win at Kembla Grange and although it came by only a nose, he could go back-to-back at this level.
The Chris Waller-trained gelding has always promised to rise through the grades but it never eventuated. Now, with that win under his belt, it could give him the confidence needed to rise up the ranks.
Drawing barrier two is ideal and Nash Rawiller takes the ride.
Race 5. (15:10) Tab BM70 (2200m)
#7 – Misty Summer @ $5.50 – Bet Now
Chris Waller lines up another talented type that could go back-to-back. She has scored two wins from her last three starts, which has been a good turnaround in form.
The four-year-old mare by Dundeel hadn’t been living up to expectations but her two wins at Gosford have put her on the right track.
Getting the inside draw helps and we are confident of her chances.
Race 6. (15:45) Bowermans Furniture BM72 (1400m)
#4 – Suave @ $3.90 – Bet Now
Suave made a good impression winning his first two starts before running fourth behind Jen Rules. That is a good form guide for midweek company and he could make a winning return.
He is a well-bred son of Lonhro that should be able to rise through the grades and although this field isn’t easy, he could handle it.
Punters should watch for any positive betting moves on race day.
Race 7. (16:20) Sky Racing Active BM70 (1200m)
#9 – Super Oasis @ $6 – Bet Now
Super Oasis is a fresh-up specialist with three starts for two wins and a placing. The three-year-old filly is also coming off a trial win at Rosehill, so there is plenty to like about her chances.
The Waller-trained runner doesn’t always show much following on from her first-up run, but punters should be focused on her in this situation.
The value is there and the $6 is worth taking.
