Warwick Farm horse racing tips & form
Race 1. (12:15) Queen’s Birthday Maiden Plate (1100m)
#1 – Deep Space @ $2.10 – Bet Now
Deep Space is on debut for Kris Lees following a 1.5-length trial win at Wyong. The son of Deep Field looks to have plenty of ability and the money is on.
He gets the services of James McDonald, which is always a help and his opening odds of $2.15 has trimmed up a touch.
We are expecting his odds to firm even more and he could start as the odds-on favourite.
Race 2. (12:50) Iron Jack Maiden Plate (1200m)
#12 – Yulong Code @ $4 – Bet Now
Chris Waller lines up the two-year-old colt that ran fairly on debut in a tough race. The son of Zoustar ran sixth behind Tommy Gold, which has been a good form race this season.
His opening odds of $6 have been slashed and there is plenty of money coming his way. We’re expecting that to continue as the race gets closer.
Hugh Bowman rides and that should be enough to see him run well.
Race 3. (13:25) Sky Racing Active Maiden (1200m)
#6 – Miravalle @ $3.70 – Bet Now
Miravalle is another well-backed debutante that opened at a much bigger price. The filly opened at $5 and was met immediately by punters.
The Mark Newnham-trained two-year-old won a trial by 3.3 lengths at Randwick and she looked to have a good turn-of-foot.
It is another good ride for James McDonald and we’re expecting big things.
Race 4. (14:00) Press Statement @ Vinery BM66 (1600m)
#13 – Zing @ $7.50 – Bet Now
Zing was able to defeat an easier field at Newcastle last start but we like the way he hit the line.
The three-year-old filly scored by 2.5 lengths after settling well off the pace and he could rise through the grades now.
It is good to see James McDonald take the ride and punters are getting generous odds.
Race 5. (14:35) Tab BM74 (2130m)
#8 – Stockman @ $2.75 – Bet Now
Stockman has been in excellent form this campaign with three wins from four starts. The three-year-old won narrowly at Randwick last start and he sprinted quickly late.
It is a good asset to have and his turn-of-foot should win him many more races throughout his career.
He is a nice type in the making and his opening odds of $4 have firmed in steadily throughout the week.
Race 6. (15:10) Calyx @ Coolmore Australia BM70 (1000m)
#10 – Spaceboy @ $4 – Bet Now
The Gary Portelli-trained gelding finished second behind a nice type last start, so he’s worth sticking with.
He was a winner at Kembla Grange by 2.8 lengths last month and a repeat of that effort would take him very close in this race.
Punters are getting value odds and they are worth taking.
Race 7. (15:45) Ranvet BM70 (1300m)
#5 – Fashchanel @ $4.60 – Bet Now
The John O’Shea-trained filly is coming off a fresh-up win at Kembla Grange and she’s ready for a city win now.
She has shown ability throughout her career, which includes a second placing behind recent city winner Bound to Win.
There is plenty of upside with this runner and with Hugh Bowman in the saddle, she is going to get every chance in the run.
Race 8. (16:20) Microphone @ Darley BM70 (1300m)
#10 – Jetski @ $6 – Bet Now
Jetski hasn’t shown up at his last few runs but he is a quality type on his day and he could return to form here.
The three-year-old by Lonhro looked good when winning at Kembla Grange earlier this season and this isn’t an overly strong contest.
Punters are getting odds worth taking and he should hold firm in the betting.
