Warwick Farm horse racing tips & form

Race 1. (13:45) ANZ Bloodstock News Maiden (1600m)

#1 – Ma and Pa @ $3 – Bet @ Sportsbet

The Chris Waller-trained colt finished second on debut at Randwick and that was a nice debut effort.

He is a son of Redoute’s Choice x. Dear Demi, which is bred to be a superstar. It was a nice first outing for him and punters should be expecting another tough effort.

After opening at $3.10, his odds have firmed a touch.

Race 2. (14:20) Vinery Stud Handicap (1100m)

#9 – Syracuse @ $5 – Bet @ Sportsbet

John O’Shea lines up the two-year-old filly that fought bravely at Randwick last start and she could go one better.

The daughter of Sebring was only 1.5 lengths behind the winner after doing plenty of work on the pace, so she will benefit from that run.

$5 is a value price and getting each-way odds is good shopping with bookmakers.

Race 3. (14:55) Territories @ Darley BM68 (1300m)

#9 – Seleque @ $9.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Seleque has been scratched a couple of times over the last week, but she has found a winnable race.

The Waller-trained filly by Deep Field comes off a win at Warwick Farm and she looks good enough to rise through the grades.

With James McDonald in the saddle, bookmakers might have missed a trick. Take the $9.50 before punters latch on.

Race 4. (15:30) Bowermans Furniture BM72 (1200m)

#6 – Quiet Riot @ $2.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Quiet Riot scored a good win on debut before running fourth at Canterbury. He has since had two trials for a third placing and he looks ready to fire.

The Bjorn Baker-trained four-year-old is bred to be good and we’re not surprised to see money come for him throughout the week.

He opened at $3.70 and strong bets have come for him since.

Race 5. (16:05) Robrick Lodge BM72 (1200m)

#2 – Exotic Ruby @ $2.70 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Exotic Ruby comes off a disappointing seventh at Rosehill but that came behind a much stronger field than what she faces here.

The Baker-trained mare looked good prior to that when finishing second at Warwick Farm. She owns two placings from two starts on this track, which bodes well.

Money is coming for her and she could start much shorter in the betting.

Race 6. (16:40) Hyland Race Colours BM72 (2200m)

#2 – Jungle Book @ $5.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Jungle Book has been around the mark throughout his campaign, which included a win three back on this track.

The five-year-old gelding followed up that run with consecutive placings, including a solid third placing at Canterbury last start.

We are surprised by the each-way odds available, but given current betting patterns, punters should expect those odds to shorten.

Race 7. (17:15) Sky Racing Active BM72 (1000m)

#4 – Lost and Running @ $1.70 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Lost and Running comes off back-to-back wins and the latest came by 3.3 lengths at Randwick.

The four-year-old gelding returns after a lengthy spell and his form at the trials has been impressive. He scored consecutive trial wins at Randwick, with the latest coming by 3.8 lengths.

Having James McDonald in the saddle helps and the $1.70 is a respectable price.

Race 8. (17:50) Tab BM78 (1400m)

#1 – Madam Legend @ $9.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Madam Legend is a four-year-old mare that owns four wins and four placings from 11 starts, which is a top record.

The Les Bridge-trained daughter of I Am Invincible didn’t fire at Randwick last start but she has since finished third in a recent trial.

Getting 2kg off his back and punters get each-way odds to enjoy.
