Warwick Farm horse racing tips & form
Race 1. (12:50) Tab Handicap (1400m)
#1 – Political Debate @ $1.70 – Bet @ PlayUp
Political Debate was no match for Resonator on debut but that form has since been franked in fine style.
The two-year-old son of So You Think has been hammered in betting at short odds and the odds are worth taking.
Having James McDonald in the saddle is ideal and punters could kick off the day with a multi-building win.
Race 2. (13:25) Proven Thoroughbreds BM68 (1300m)
#5 – Democracy Manifest @ $2.30 – Bet @ PlayUp
Democracy Manifest scored by 1.8 lengths on this track last time out and he’s good for another victory.
The three-year-old son of Flying Artie has firmed in betting after opening at $2.60 and we’re not surprised by the support.
It’s another good ride for McDonald and he could get his day off to a flying start with the first two favourites.
Race 3. (14:00) First Justify Yearlings BM72 (2400m)
#5 – Za Ceibas @ $3.30 – Bet @ PlayUp
Za Ceibas is another James McDonald-ridden runner and we think the Kiwi jockey could ride the first three winners.
The four-year-old gelding wasn’t far behind them when third at Canterbury and he won’t find racing against this opposition any harder.
Carrying 55kg is ideal and we’re not surprised to see his odds firm from an opening quote of $3.80, so punters should take the odds available.
Race 4. (14:35) Drinkwise Mile BM78 (1600m)
#1 – Bethencourt @ $3.20 – Bet @ PlayUp
Bethencourt comes off a strong win at Randwick and that form stacks up beautifully for this contest.
The five-year-old gelding won by four lengths in a dominant display where he relished the wet track. He gets slightly improved conditions now and that shouldn’t be an issue.
Tom Sherry takes 1.5kg off his back and he is the class runner of this field, so we’re expecting another top effort.
Race 5. (15:10) Pinatubo New @ Darley BM72 (1000m)
#7 – Sachello @ $4.50 – Bet @ PlayUp
Sachello has been primed with a trial win at Warwick Farm and the three-year-old filly looks ready to go.
She owns two wins from four starts and her most recent start was a sixth behind Shihonka at Rosehill, which has a tough race.
Her winning form prior was excellent and dropping to 53kg could see her make a winning return on Wednesday.
Race 6. (15:45) Shalaa @ Arrowfield BM72 (1200m)
#11 – Mirra View @ $5 – Bet @ PlayUp
Mirra View is shooting for three consecutive wins after scoring at Wyong and Randwick, which rate highly on this track.
The Snowden-trained three-year-old has yet to win from four attempts over the distance, but she has been threatening to win and she gets her chance.
Punters get each-way odds to enjoy and she represents value.
Race 7. (16:20) Vinery Yearlings BM72 (1400m)
#1 – Rangi Toa @ $3.80 – Bet @ PlayUp
Rangi Toa is a former Kiwi runner who finished second at Te Rapa before coming to Randwick and winning by a length.
The Waterhouse/Bott-trained son of Shamexpress is bred to be quick and with three wins from four starts, he has made a good start to his career.
Carrying 62kg could be the leveller on Wednesday, but his class should take him close and he won’t be worried about the conditions.
