Warwick Farm horse racing tips & form
Race 1. (13:25) Frosted @ Darley Maiden (1400m)
#7 – Seleque @ $5.50 – Bet Now
Seleque has been specked at each-way odds after back-to-back second placings. The Chris Waller-trained filly ran second at Newcastle and Hawkesbury, so it’s good form.
Prior to her race day performances, she finished second in a trial at Warwick Farm. That is a good form guide leading into this race, and punters get value odds.
Hugh Bowman rides and $5.50 is worth snapping up.
Race 2. (14:00) Vinery Stallions Maiden (1100m)
#8 – Newsreader @ $3.50 – Bet Now
Newsreader looked like a talented filly during her two-year-old preparation, and she could be worth following this season.
The John O’Shea-trained filly finished fifth in stakes company last start at Rosehill, and that form is tops for midweek company.
Her trial form since has consisted of two placings, and we’re surprised that she’s not the current favourite.
Race 3. (14:35) Iron Jack BM72 (1600m)
#7 – Bucharest @ $2.40 – Bet Now
Bucharest is looking to remain unbeaten after three starts and we like his chances on Wednesday.
The Waller-trained son of Deep Impact scored a win on debut at Newcastle before repeating the dose by a half-length last time out.
He is a progressive colt that is getting stronger with every run, and he could start as the odds-on favourite for this race.
Take the $2.40 as it’s a value quote from bookmakers.
Race 4. (15:10) Sky Racing Active BM72 (2200m)
#2 – Pressure @ $3.30 – Bet Now
Pressure didn’t finish it off at Rosehill last start but that came in a competitive race at Rosehill.
The five-year-old mare looked better in her two runs prior, which included back-to-back placings at Canterbury.
Facing an easier field on Wednesday could see her score an overdue win, and with James McDonald in the saddle, she is a leading contender.
Race 5. (15:45) Hyland Race Colours BM72 (1100m)
#13 – The Bopper @ $2.45 – Bet Now
Kris Lees lines up the The Bopper, which is unbeaten after two runs. The three-year-old gelding by Nicconi has looked good at the trials since, which includes a win at Newcastle.
He looks like a progressive type that will need some luck from barrier 12, but with James McDonald in the saddle, he should get every chance.
Expect a strong betting push to come on race day.
Race 6. (16:20) Bowermans Furniture BM72 (1300m)
#8 – Joviality @ $3 – Bet Now
Chris Waller lines up the three-year-old filly that is searching for her third consecutive win.
The daughter of I Am Invincible scored on a heavy track at Warwick Farm by 3.5 lengths, before winning again at Warwick Farm by 2.3 lengths.
She faced a tough field last start and put them down with ease. It is a good form guide for this race, so expect her odds to firm throughout the week.
Race 7. (16:55) ANZ Bloodstock News BM72 (1400m)
#12 – Royal Marine @ $9 – Bet Now
Royal Marine has improved his form this season and he could continue winning. The Waller-trained gelding scored at Newcastle two back and followed it up with a win at Hawkesbury.
His last-start win came over a quality midweek field and he was far too strong, winning by 3.3 lengths.
Punters are getting great value odds and he should give a good sight at Warwick Farm.
