Warwick Farm horse racing tips & form
Race 1. (13:25) 2020 Yulong Stallions Maiden (1400m)
#3 – Yangtze Rapids @ $3.60 – Bet Now
The Chris Waller-trained colt has had two starts for one placing, which came at Warwick Farm on debut in May.
He finished close behind Acrophobic before running sixth behind Achiever at Randwick. His trial form has been solid since and the son of Frankel could resume in style.
$3.60 is a fair price and it’s worth taking.
Race 2. (14:00) Frosted @ Darley BM64 (1100m)
#2 – Sixgun @ $4.80 – Bet Now
Sixgun didn’t get the race run to suit at Rosehill last start, so punters should forget about the quality three-year-old.
The Mark Newnham-trained colt by Snitzel scored a terrific win on debut at Canterbury and his recent barrier trial on this track was impressive.
He faces a tough field but punters get each-way odds.
Race 3. (14:35) Bowermans Furniture BM78 (1000m)
#6 – Mr Mosaic @ $2.15 – Bet Now
Mr Mosaic looked the goods when winning his first two races and he could get back to winning form on Wednesday.
The four-year-old son of Rubick finished last of six runners at Warwick Farm last start, but that was behind Fiteuse, so it was a tough race.
He has since scored a trial win by eight lengths and another by 3.8 lengths. He carries a light weight and he looks like one of the better bets of the day.
Race 4. (15:10) Sky Raving Active BM72 (2400m)
#1 – Home Ground @ $3 – Bet Now
John Sargent lines up the five-year-old which is coming off a solid placing at Randwick. The son of High Chaparral was only a half-length behind Kiss The Bride, which is a level above this field.
The three-time winner has struggled to cross the line first recently, but dropping in grade is ideal and he should be able to capitalise.
He gets weight off his back and punters get excellent odds.
Race 5. (15:45) Hyland Race Colours BM72 (1600m)
#3 – Miyake @ $4.40 – Bet Now
Miyake was a two-time winner last preparation and although he usually needs a run, he could fire up in a fresh state.
The Waller-trained four-year-old ended his last campaign with a 1.3-length win at Canterbury. That came over 1900m, so kicking off at the mile suits.
The booking of James McDonald should give punters confidence and we’re expecting money to come for him on race day.
Race 6. (16:20) All Too Hard @ Vinery BM72 (1300m)
#9 – Return With Honour @ $3.90 – Bet Now
Backing Return With Honour is always a risk but the colt has more ability than most in this field. The son of Fastnet Rock won on debut at Randwick before taking on quality fields since.
He finished behind the likes of Prague, Holyfield and Acrobatic. That form stacks up nicely for this race and he made good ground at Eagle Farm last start.
It’s now or never for the Ryan/Alexiou-trained runner but he should give punters a chance in the run.
Race 7. (16:55) Tab BM72 (1300m)
#4 – Twice As Special @ $6.50 – Bet Now
Twice As Special is coming off back-to-back wins either side of a spell and she could win again.
The Jason Coyle-trained four-year-old won at Warwick Farm in March before returning this campaign with an upset win at Randwick.
She scored by a half-length in this grade and we’re confident of her chances again. Louise Day takes weight off her back and punters get value each-way odds.
