We have NBA picks and predictions for Wednesday, April 15th, which features the Heat vs. Hornets and Trail Blazers vs. Suns, which is NBA play-in action.
Our picks include a best bet and NBA same game multi, and we’re looking forward to the NBA action this week.
Heat vs. Hornets Best Bet
The Hornets have been one of the best teams to follow over the last few months, and we can’t see them coming unstuck against the Heat in the play-in game.
They won their most recent meeting against the Heat 136-106 at home, which is the best form guide for this game. They were dominant on both sides of the ball, and with Kon Knueppel and LaMelo Ball playing well, they are tough to stop.
The Heat have more experience in the playoffs, but they have been a tough team to follow for most of the season. They need to improve significantly to keep this close, so take the Hornets to win and cover the –5.5 spread.
Heat vs. Hornets SGM
Knueppel is a front runner to win Rookie of the Year after shooting light outs from the three-point line, and the Heat could struggle to contain him. He comes off four below-par performances, but considering what’s on the line, punters should expect him to have a big scoring night.
The opposite goes for Tyler Herro, who has recent totals of 18, 14, 15, and 5 points. It’s not enough for Herro to be considered a premier scorer, and although some of his best games come in the playoffs, the Hornets’ defence should lock him down.
Over 228.5 points is included in our NBA same game multi picks. The Hornets could put up a big score, which should be enough for the over to cash.
Trail Blazers vs. Suns Best Bet
The Blazers seek a road upset in the play-in, and we believe the Suns are there for the taking.
Punters haven’t had much success betting on the Suns this season, and although they get home court advantage, they lost 92-77 to the Blazers in their most recent meeting at home. That’s the best form guide for punters, and the $2.30 odds are ideal.
Portland has a young team, and they have no scar tissue. The Suns have had problems winning in the playoffs, even when they had Kevin Durant, so we’re happy to bet against them at the much better underdog price.
Trail Blazers vs. Suns SGM
Deni Avdija has been on fire recently, posting scoring totals of 26, 26, 29, 35, and 25. That’s enough to include him in NBA same game multi picks, and he could lead the Blazers to playoff success.
We expect a tough shooting night from Devin Booker, who can throw in some poor games when the pressure goes on. He’s an elite shooter during the regular season, but our NBA predictions have him scoring under 26.5 points.
The total points line is set low at 216.5, so we’re taking the over. Our final score prediction has the Blazers winning 117-112, so it’s a good multi bet inclusion.
