We have NBA picks and predictions for Wednesday, April 22nd, which features the 76ers vs. Celtics, Trail Blazers vs. Spurs, and Rockets vs. Lakers.
Our picks include a best bet and NBA same game multi, and we’re looking forward to the NBA action this week.
76ers vs. Celtics Best Bet
It’s tough to slow down the Celtics when they’re rolling, and after beating the 76ers 123-91 in Game 1, a repeat could be on the cards.
They dominated from the outset, and it was the senior players stepping up. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown did their thing, and although the 76ers have good players, they’re missing Joel Embiid’s defence in the paint.
Back the Celtics to cover the –13.5 spread and score another easy win.
76ers vs. Celtics SGM
Brown had 26 points in the opening game, and NBA lines have him at the same number. He could have 30+ points on Wednesday, so he’s worth including in NBA multi bet picks.
Paul George had only 17 points in Game 1, and he’s not playing at his best. Our predictions have him scoring only around 13 points, so take the under.
We’re also backing under 216.5 points, with only 214 points scored on Monday.
Trail Blazers vs. Spurs Best Bet
The Spurs had a few nervous moments in the third quarter on Monday, but they turned on the jets to close out the game comfortably.
Victor Wembanyama had another big game for the home side, and if he scores anywhere near 35 points again, the Spurs should have another big win in store. They are the –11.5 favourites for a reason, and the Blazers might need to wait until they play at home.
Betting on the Spurs has been profitable for punters, and although covering a double-digit line isn’t easy, we see no weak points with the Spurs, so include them in NBA picks this week.
Trail Blazers vs. Spurs SGM
Another big game is expected for Wembanyama, who can’t be defended when he’s playing well. He shot well from the three-point line in Game 1, and if he makes a few early shots, he should have over 28.5 points.
Deni Avdija had a great opening game for the Blazers. He dropped 30 points, and although he was limping in the fourth quarter, he should bounce back with over 23.5 points in Game 2.
We predict a high-scoring game, so add over 220.5 points in NBA SGM picks.
Rockets vs. Lakers Best Bet
We got the value with the Lakers in Game 1, and although Kevin Durant is slated to return for the Rockets, we’re sticking with the Lakers.
LeBron James showed why he’s one of the best players of all-time in Game 1. He wasn’t far off a triple-double, and although they’re without Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves, the Lakers have depth to cover those positions.
We don’t trust the Rockets to win during the playoffs, so take the value +4.5 line with the Lakers.
Rockets vs. Lakers SGM
James headlines our NBA SGM picks. We have him scoring over 24.5 points and sending a message to the Rockets.
Alperen Sengun should have a big game for the Rockets. The 19.5-point line is lower than expected from bookmakers, so we’re jumping on the value.
Our final score prediction has the Lakers winning 113-107, so take the over.
