NBA Tips for Tuesday, April 28th 2026

We have NBA picks and predictions for Tuesday, April 28th, which features the Pistons vs. Magic, Thunder vs. Suns, and Timberwolves vs. Nuggets.

Pistons vs. Magic Best Bet

Pistons –2.5 @ $1.90

The Pistons haven’t been at their best during this series, but we can’t see them going to 1-3 on Tuesday.

They are a better team than the Magic, and although the Magic have played well to start the series, a win in Game 4 will give the Pistons home court advantage, so this is a hugely important game in Orlando.

We’re sticking with our guns and backing the Pistons to fire up on the road. The –2.5 line could move to –3.5 at tipoff, and if Cade Cunningham and Jalen Duren play well, that should be enough for the Pistons to get it done.

Pistons vs. Magic SGM

Pistons -2.5, Cade Cunningham Over 28.5 Points, Jalen Suggs Under 14.5 Points, Over 214.5 Points @ $8.00

Cunningham has had a good series, scoring totals of 39, 27, and 27 points. We have him scoring in the 30s, so take over 28.5 and include it in NBA multi bets.

Jalen Suggs could struggle to score for the Magic. He has played well during the playoffs, but Detroit’s defence could lock him down. Under 14.5 points is a good addition to multis.

Detroit should score close to 115 points, which will be enough for the over to cash.

Thunder vs. Suns Best Bet

Thunder –10.5 @ $1.90

The Thunder has a 3-0 series lead, and we expect the series to be wrapped up with ease on Tuesday.

They won the games by 35, 13, and 12 points, and although the margin of victory has shortened with every game, that’s no reason to worry about the Thunder scoring a one-sided win in Game 4 in Phoenix.

They are the superior team in all facets, and with the series all but over, Phoenix could throw in the towel and look to get it over and done with. The –10.5 line is much shorter than expected, so we’re jumping on the value.

Thunder vs. Suns SGM

Thunder -10.5, Chet Holmgren Over 16.5 Points, Dillon Brooks Under 18.5 Points, Under 213.5 Points @ $8.50

We predict a big game from Chet Holmgren, who comes off a disappointing 10-point game. He was much better when scoring 16 and 19 points in the first two games, so expect something close to that.

Dillon Brooks had 30 and 33 points in his last two games. However, we expect a big drop off in Game 4. We have him scoring under 18.5 points.

Our NBA prediction has the Suns scoring under 100 points, so include under 213.5 points in NBA SGM picks.

Timberwolves vs. Nuggets Best Bet

Nuggets –11.5 @ $1.90

The Nuggets might be 3-1 down in the series, but with the Timberwolves now playing without Anthony Edwards and Dante DiVincenzo, they could struggle to play well in Game 5.

It’s also a must-win situation for the Nuggets, and they’re playing at home. If there was ever a time to confidently bet on the Nuggets to cover the spread, it’s now.

We’re locking in the current line before money comes for them. The Timberwolves would do well to keep this to within a 20-point margin at Ball Arena.

Timberwolves vs. Nuggets SGM

Nuggets –11.5, Nikola Jokic Over 30.5 Points, Jamal Murray Over 26.5 Points, Over 222.5 Points @ $8.50

The Timberwolves are compromised on defence, which should allow Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray to have a field day.

We have Jokic scoring over 30.5 points, and he could have a triple-double when his team needs him most. He should dominate in and outside of the paint, so expect a big scoring night.

Murray should get off clean shots, and with our NBA picks expecting a high-scoring game, Murray should cash in.
