We have NBA picks and predictions for Wednesday, April 29th, which features the 76ers vs. Celtics, Hawks vs. Knicks, and Trail Blazers vs. Spurs.
Our picks include a best bet and NBA same game multi, and we’re looking forward to the NBA action this week.
76ers vs. Celtics Best Bet
The Celtics have a good chance of closing out the series, and with Detroit struggling against the Magic, the Eastern Conference is theirs for the taking.
They should breeze past the 76ers in Game 5, and although the 76ers took one game off them, playing at TD Garden helps, and they have enough scoring power to put up a big score and make a statement on Thursday.
We have the Celtics winning and covering the –11.5 spread, and their stars in Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum should stand up and deliver.
76ers vs. Celtics SGM
Brown should have a big scoring night for the Celtics. He scored only 20 points in Game 4 on the road, but he always plays his best at home. Include him in NBA same game multi to boost payouts.
It’s tough to know what Joel Embiid will do on the scoring front, but we have him scoring under 27.5. He will be well-defended close to the rim, and if the 76ers are getting torched, he could get taken out of the game early.
Over 214.5 points is worth including, as they combined for 224 points in Game 4.
Hawks vs. Knicks Best Bet
With the series tied at 2-2, it could be tough for the Knicks to score a one-sided win. It has been a close series throughout, and we have the Hawks bouncing back from a loss at home.
They have enough talented players to cover the +6.5 spread, especially if CJ McCollum can produce late-game magic again. He has been the difference for the Hawks during the playoffs, and his experience can’t be overlooked.
The winner of this game will likely be the winner of the fourth quarter, so take the Hawks with the points in what could be a riveting contest at Madison Square Garden.
Hawks vs. Knicks SGM
If the Hawks want a chance to cause an upset in Game 5, they need McCollum to score well. He comes off a 17-point performance, which was easily his lowest total this series. He should have over 19.5 points for the Hawks.
We’re taking the odds for Jalen Brunson under 26.5 points. He had only 19 points in the Knicks’ Game 4 win, and he has struggled at times to score. We expect that to continue in the pivotal Game 5.
Defence is the focus for the Hawks and Knicks, so include under 213.5 points.
Trail Blazers vs. Spurs Best Bet
The Spurs faced a big halftime deficit in Game 4, but that didn’t phase them. They went on to win 114-93, and that’s why we’re backing them to cover the –12.5 spread.
Even with a massive lead, the Blazers can’t keep up with the Spurs when Victor Wembanyama is on the floor. Their only win this series came with Wemby off the court due to concussion, so most of the money should come for the Spurs.
They want to wrap up the series without much fuss, so they should lead and build on a big lead throughout the game.
Trail Blazers vs. Spurs SGM
Despite going through concussion protocol, Wemby returned to action with a 27-point effort. That showcases his ability, and we can’t see the Blazers slowing him down in Game 5.
Deni Avdija is having a solid playoff series, and although he’s playing for the Blazers, he should have over 22.5 points. He is their main attacking threat, and he scored 26 points in their most recent loss.
Our final score prediction is 118-102, so include the over in NBA picks.
