There are only a couple of weeks left in the regular season, so wins are becoming more and more important.
Sunday could be a key day for many teams, including the likes of the Trail Blazers, Nuggets, and the Mavericks.
We preview the three biggest NBA games on Sunday and find the best value bets. Here are our expert NBA betting tips for Sunday.
NBA Betting Tips
LA Clippers vs. Portland Trail Blazers
The Clippers have all but secured the #2 seed in the Western Conference but it’s not the same situation for the Portland Trail Blazers.
They trail the Memphis Grizzlies by a game following their brilliant 125-115 win over the Denver Nuggets on Friday.
It was a much-needed win for the franchise and if they’re looking to make a run towards the playoffs, scoring a win over the Clippers would take them a long way.
The Clippers are the better side and there isn’t a punter that wouldn’t doubt that. However, Portland is the more desperate team and the Clippers don’t need to win this Sunday.
Damien Lillard is doing his thing and even Camelo Anthony is chiming in with big buckets at the right time. Having Whiteside in the team has also helped, as he leads the team with 13.8 rebounds per game.
It should be an exciting game and we recommend taking Portland with the points.

Utah Jazz vs. Denver Nuggets
Only two wins separates these teams in the Western Conference and the winner of this game has a good chance of getting a better seed in the playoffs.
The Utah Jazz have been only fair since the NBA returned. They have posted a win over a depleted Memphis side and the Pelicans, but also losses to the Thunder and the Lakers.
That being said, losing to the Thunder and Lakers could be expected and we shouldn’t be too harsh on a team that has won 43 games this season.
Denver has a slightly better record of 45 wins, following consecutive wins over the Thunder and the Spurs. However, they lost to the Trail Blazers on Friday and they’ll need to bounce back.
There are injury concerns for both teams but more notably for the Nuggets. They could struggle heading towards the playoffs without the likes of Paul Millsap.
Denver has won the first two meetings against Utah this season. However, both games have been close and we think Utah can turn the tables.
There is almost nothing separating these sides in the statistics, so if bookmakers are offering Utah at better than $2 odds, it’s worth locking in.

Milwaukee Bucks vs. Dallas Mavericks
An almighty game brings a close to NBA Sunday as the Eastern Conference-leading Bucks take on the upstart Mavericks.
Following their win over the Miami Heat on Friday, the Bucks locked up the top seed in the East. However, we’re not sure how that will affect their play heading towards the playoffs.
Will they rest players for big games such as this one? Or will they look to continue their momentum, given that players haven’t had much court time?
We’re going with the latter, as players need as much game time as possible. That should set us up for a huge game against the Mavericks on Sunday, which are needing some momentum.
Dallas is coming off a loss to the Clippers, where they played well for the most part of the game. They gave up the lead late after Kawhi Leonard knocked down some key shots.
The only win Dallas has scored since NBA returned came against the Kings in overtime. They lost to Houston in overtime and followed that up with a loss to the Phoenix Suns by two points.
Dallas needs to close out the game better and if they do so, they could contend against the best teams in the competition.
The Bucks might have more talent as a team but we are going with an upset result. Take Dallas, who should be paying generous odds with bookmakers.
