NBA Betting Tips

Indiana Pacers vs Miami Heat @ FTX Arena

The Miami Heat would love some momentum heading into 2022. They are 18-13 after losing to the Detroit Pistons, which isn’t an ideal form guide.

The 100-90 loss came on the road following wins over Orlando and Philadelphia, but that hard work was undone by the loss.

They will look to rebound against the Pacers, who got back on track with a win over the Pistons. They were too good in the 122-113 victory, but it came at home.

The Pacers are only 3-11 on the road, which is a massive talking point. Indiana’s struggles on the road are noteworthy, so beating a quality home team won’t be easy.

Miami is 8-4 at FTX Arena, so we’re picking it to beat Indiana. The Heat might have numerous injury concerns with the likes of Jimmy Butler, Tyler Herro and P.J. Tucker, but they’re a deep team.

NBA odds should have the Heat as slight favourites, so take the home team in a close contest.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs Dallas Mavericks @ American Airlines Center

It has been hard for punters to back the Dallas Mavericks with any confidence. They are 14-15 after losses to the Lakers and Timberwolves, and they could lose again.

Losing Luka Doncic to injury wasn’t ideal, but they weren’t playing very well prior to that. The 111-105 loss to Minnesota came on the road, but we’re not sure the Mavericks can turn it around.

Kristaps Porzingis isn’t good enough to carry this team, and with his daily struggles for fitness, it leaves the Mavs in a vulnerable position.

The Timberwolves have turned their season around with four consecutive wins. They started the run with a win over Portland and have since added wins against the Nuggets, Lakers and Mavericks.

They have been beating tough teams, so that holds them in good stead on Wednesday. Minnesota is leaning on Karl-Anthony Towns, who leads the team with 24.4 points per game and nine rebounds.

If KAT can continue playing at high level, the Timberwolves could continue scoring upset wins. The odds available should be taken.

Phoenix Suns vs Los Angeles Lakers @ STAPLES Center

Phoenix continues its fine run after beating Portland, Washington and Charlotte. The Suns recovered nicely after losing Devin Booker, who returns on Wednesday.

They improved to 24-5, which means the Los Angeles Lakers have plenty of ground to make up in the Western Conference.

Los Angeles has been anything but impressive. It has lost consecutive games to Minnesota and Chicago, and the addition of the Anthony Davis injury adds salt into its wounds.

LeBron James is showing signs of slowing down and Russell Westbrook doesn’t have a jump shot, so offensive options are limited for the Lakers.

They have been good defensively, but the Suns are one of the best attacking teams in the NBA. They have numerous threats in the paint and on the outside, so it could be another tough outing for the home team.
