NBA Betting Tips

Atlanta Hawks vs New York Knicks @ Madison Square Garden

The Hawks and Knicks are struggling to find their best form, but we’re prepared to take the risk with the Knicks.

They tend to play well on the big occasions and despite sitting at 14-17, we think they’re going to make a nice mid-season run.

Recent wins have Detroit and Houston have been solid and playing at home on Christmas Day should spur them on.

Atlanta comes off a win over Philadelphia on the road, so it’s playing well. However, with four losses from its last six games, we don’t have much trust.

Bet: New York Knicks @ $1.85Bet @ Sportsbet

Boston Celtics vs Milwaukee Bucks @ Fiserv Forum

Boston isn’t getting much respect with the bookmakers. The Celtics are +7.5 underdogs, but they could cause an upset on Sunday.

They are 2-0 against the Bucks this season and despite their less than appealing 16-16 record, they could rise to the occasion.

Milwaukee is 11-5 at home and it will be harder in this situation, but Boston is easily good enough to cover the generous spread.

Jayson Tatum had a huge performance in the 117-103 when they last met, so a similar performance would be enough to keep the Celtics in the hunt.

The Bucks haven’t been overly impressive of late, so they could be vulnerable.

Bet: Boston Celtics +7.5 @ $1.90Bet @ Sportsbet

Golden State Warriors vs Phoenix Suns @ Footprint Center

With only 11 losses between them, all eyes are on the Golden State Warriors and Phoenix Suns.

The Warriors haven’t been playing as well of late, but with 25 wins and only six losses, it’s tough to find negatives about the Western Conference powerhouse.

Phoenix is riding a winning streak and it has been the best team in the NBA so far. The Suns took the first game in this series at home and we’re expecting more of the same.

Punters will have to take a –4.5 line, but most of the money has come for the Suns.

Bet: Phoenix Suns –4.5 @ $1.90Bet @ Sportsbet

Brooklyn Nets vs Los Angeles Lakers @ STAPLES Center

We’re not sure why the Los Angeles Lakers are the favourites to win. They aren’t playing well and having Anthony Davis out of action is worrying.

They will need a big game from LeBron James and Russell Westbrook to have a chance at beating the Nets, who are flying at 21-9.

It’s uncertain if Kyrie Irving will return to play the game, but even without him, we’re confident Kevin Durant and James Harden is a better one-two combination.

Getting $2 for the Nets is a steal and we think punters will come for the Nets on game day. It’s a nice stocking filler.

Bet: Brooklyn Nets @ $2Bet @ Sportsbet

Dallas Mavericks vs Utah Jazz @ Vivint Arena

Punters get fair odds for the Utah Jazz to continue their good run. They are 21-9 and an excellent chance of beating the Dallas Mavericks.

Dallas has struggling with inconsistency and it has hurt punters. You never know what to expect with the Mavericks, especially on the road.

Therefore, we’re happy to take the Jazz at $1.48. They have a home record of 11-6 and we love what Donovan Mitchell is doing. He’s averaging 25 points per game and he’s not getting the attention he deserves.

Close out the Boxing Day card with the Jazz.

Bet: Utah Jazz @ $1.48Bet @ Sportsbet
