NBA Betting Tips

Toronto Raptors vs. Washington Wizards @ Capital One Arena

Toronto pulled off a big fourth quarter comeback against Memphis on Tuesday, and it can use that momentum going forward.

The Raptors were down by seven points heading into the fourth quarter, and Kyle Lowry was ruled out in the first half. However, Toronto outscored Memphis by 22 points in the final stanza.

Lowry could be out for this game with a lower back injury, so his availability is important. He is the heart and soul of this team, but they played well without him.

Pascal Siakam stepped up in his absence, and he will need a big game against a dangerous Washington outfit.

The Wizards have a record of 6-15, but they have a team capable of beating any NBA team. They come off a win over Chicago, and scoring point hasn’t been a problem.

Bradley Beal is averaging 33.3 points per game, and Russell Westbrook is improving. The problem has been defensively, which has seen the Wizards allow 120.1 points per game.

Until Washington sorts out its defensive problems, we can’t back them with any confidence. Take the Raptors to score back-to-back wins on the road.

Indiana Pacers vs. Brooklyn Nets @ Barclays Center

All eyes are on the Brooklyn Nets this season, and they get a pass mark so far. The 14-11 record isn’t reflective of its top-end ability, and consecutive losses has contributed to that.

Kevin Durant will miss this game due to Covid protocols, so that leaves the offensive burden on Kyrie Irving and James Harden. Both players are capable of scoring enough to win game, but defense takes a hit.

Brooklyn is one of the worst defensive teams in the NBA, and it’s a big reason why the Nets are only three games above .500.

Looking to provide the Nets their third consecutive loss are the Pacers, who are trying to end their own losing streak.

Indiana has lost four of its last five games, including three on the bounce to Utah, New Orleans, and Milwaukee. It also gave up a 16-point lead to Philadelphia last week, so it’s not a good sign for this team.

The 12-12 record keeps them within reaching distance of Milwaukee in the Central standings, so there is still plenty to play for.

Unavailable players could catch up to Brooklyn, but Harden and Kyrie are good enough to carry this team on the offensive end. The Nets just need to improve defensively, and that could start against Indiana on Thursday.

Milwaukee Bucks vs. Phoenix Suns @ PHX Arena

Phoenix has the makings of a successful team this season, and it currently rides a three-game winning streak.

The Suns are 14-9, and that record could have been much better had it not been for injuries. They come off a 119-113 win over Cleveland, but the challenge is greater on Thursday.

Milwaukee is 16-8 following wins over Denver, Portland and Cleveland. The Bucks are starting to put it all together after a moderate start to the season.

The Bucks score an average of 121.3 points per game and allow only 111.4, so they are going to win many games this season.

Phoenix doesn’t have the same scoring power, but it scores more points than it allows. It has kept teams to under 100 points in two of its last three games, so that bodes well.

With both teams being in excellent form, we’re expecting a close contest. Phoenix play at home, which helps, but the Bucks have no weaknesses.

We expect Milwaukee to have a slight edge in this game, and punters could get value odds.
