The NBA rolls on this week and there is a full card of games to bet on this Saturday.
We look at Heat vs. Nets, Lakers vs. Mavericks and Bucks vs. Kings. All games present punters with good betting opportunities and all eyes will be on the star players. Here are our NBA betting tips!
Miami Heat vs. Brooklyn Nets @ Barclays Centre
It has been a tough stretch of games for the Brooklyn Nets since they lost Kyrie Irving to injury.
They have lost their last five games and they’re one of a few teams that are scoring less than they’re giving up.
The Nets looked solid when Irving was playing but they still own a 9-8 record at home and that could spur them on this Saturday.
Coming into town is the Heat, which has only a 9-9 record on the road. Miami is 26-10 on the season and comes into this game having beaten Portland 122-111 on Monday.
Miami is led by Jimmy Butler, who is averaging 20.4 points per game. Butler doesn’t have amazing games but he’s one of the most solid players in the NBA.
Can Brooklyn beat Miami without Irving? It’s the case most punters will ask and we believe they can.
The Nets still have Spencer Dinwiddie, who is averaging 22.4 points per game, and DeAndre Jordan, who averages 9.8 rebounds per game.
It’s not going to be easy to turn around such a bad losing streak but they could keep this game close.
Bookmakers will have Miami as the hot favourites but take the Nets with the points.

LA Lakers vs. Dallas Mavericks @ American Airlines Centre
The Lakers continued their winning streak with a win over the New York Knicks on Wednesday but the opposition is about to get harder.
It was only five games ago that they defeated the Dallas Mavericks 108-95 and the Mavericks have a bit of a problem on their hands.
They are 23-13 but when Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis aren’t both in the team, they have struggled.
Porzingis is out injured, which has resulted in the Mavericks losing three of their last five games. Those losses came the Lakers, Thunder and Hornets.
The loss to Charlotte was perplexing and they’ll need to start playing better as a team to make a playoff run.
Doncic, of course, is stunning. He is averaging almost 30 points per game and it does it with ease. There’s no doubt that he could run most of the offensive plays, but he needs to get his underperforming teammates included.
For the Lakers, Anthony Davis has been their best player. He leads the team in points and rebounds with 27.1 and 9.4 respectively.
Most experts knew his inclusion into the Lakers was always going to result in something positive. Their 30-7 record is testament to that and they’re always tough to beat.
This is a tough game to call but we’re siding with the Lakers in a close one.

Milwaukee Bucks vs. Sacramento Kings @ Golden 1 Centre
This looks like a mismatch on paper but the Kings have been so close in many games this season.
The Kings are 15-23 but could easily have a winning record. They have won three of their last four games and they’re heading in the right direction this season.
Buddy Hield has been their best players, which is good to see considering he had the goods during his college days.
Injuries have slowed the Kings down but they have the ability to cause an upset over the Bucks this Saturday.
The Bucks are the best team in the east and perhaps the best team in the NBA right now. With a record of 32-6, the Bucks are on their way to securing the top seed.
However, they are coming off a loss to the Spurs and it showed some chinks in their armour.
The Greek Freak is averaging over 30 points per game and he leads the team in all three major statistical categories.
We have no doubt the Bucks will be favourites to win this game. However, the Kings are good enough to keep it close.
