We have NBA picks and predictions for Tuesday, January 13th, which features the Celtics vs. Pacers, Lakers vs. Kings, and Hornets vs. Clippers.
Our picks include a best bet and NBA same game multi, and we’re looking forward to the NBA action this week.
Celtics vs. Pacers Predictions
—
Best Bet
The Celtics weren’t too happy with the refs when losing to the Spurs last week, but a bounce back effort is expected against the Pacers, who have won consecutive games.
The Pacers, despite finding recent form, aren’t a good team, and they’re looking ahead to next year. However, the Celtics are playing well without Jayson Tatum, and it’s because Jaylen Brown is proving his worth.
He could make the difference on Tuesday, and the Celtics should have too much for the Pacers. Back them to cover the –6.5 spread on the road.

Same Game Multi
Brown is a good bet with scoring markets. His scoring average has increased significantly this season without Tatum on the floor, and we expect his numbers to keep increasing, so take the over 28.5-point line.
Derrick White had nine rebounds against the Spurs, and he could have another big night on the boards. He’s an underrated rebounder, so take the generous line with NBA odds.
They combined for 262 points last month, so over 223.5 points is a good NBA prop bet.

Lakers vs. Kings Predictions
—
Best Bet
The Kings looked good when beating the Houston Rockets on Monday afternoon but playing against the Lakers in the second game of a back-to-back is easier said than done.
Therefore, we’re backing the Lakers to win and cover the spread. They have a two-headed beast with LeBron James and Luka Doncic and slowing them down in the scoring department could prove too difficult for this defence.
Covering a –9.5 spread on the road isn’t easy, but the Kings could fold quickly, and the Lakers are desperate for a win after consecutive losses.
—
Same Game Multi
We have backed Doncic consistently this season, and we see no reason to jump off his back. He comes off a moderate shooting night where he scored just 24 points, but he’s some player when that’s considered a poor shooting night.
Deandre Ayton is a proven rebounder, but with the Kings not having a good interior defence, he could put up a big score. The former Suns center knows his role in the team, and the pick-and-roll could work a treat.
Most Western Conference games are high scoring, so include over 227.5 points in NBA same game multis.

Hornets vs. Clippers Predictions
—
Best Bet
It hasn’t been a good year for the Clippers, but they’re starting to turn things around with wins over the Nets and Pistons.
Beating Detroit was a good effort, and given their talented roster, there are no excuses for losing. That should be the case against the Hornets, who have played better recently, but they’re lacking depth to keep it up.
Punters get a generous –4.5 line for the home team, and it’s one of our better bets of the day.
—
Same Game Multi
LaMelo Ball hasn’t been the most consistent player this year, so we’re backing him to have under 20.5 points. It’s a big line for a player who has scored under that total in four of his last five games.
Kawhi Leonard is scoring at a much better clip, and he could dominate the Hornets. He’s a safe pair of hands with NBA odds, and we see him scoring over 30 points. It should be a high-scoring game, and over 233.5 is worth including in NBA picks this week.
