NBA Betting Tips
Milwaukee Bucks vs. Brooklyn Nets @ Barclays Centre
It has been hard to keep the Milwaukee Bucks down this season as they have the best record in the NBA.
With only six losses and 36 wins on the season, the Bucks are cruising in the east and they should have the #1 seed locked up all going well.
The Bucks lost to the San Antonio Spurs last week but rebounded with four consecutive wins. Those wins came over sub .500 teams but they scored over 120 points in their last three games.
The Nets are 18-22 this season but Kyrie Irving returned on Thursday and he’s going to help their chances.
His impact was clear against the 76ers and the Nets led for most of the game. However, they eventually lost 117-106 in a result that didn’t reflect how close the game was.
As Irving gets fitter, the Nets will improve. They have all the pieces to give teams like the Bucks something to worry about, but consistency is key.
They need to play for four quarters and it’s up to Irving to control the tempo of the game. They can’t let the Bucks get out and run, as it will be a long day if they do.
Milwaukee will be the heavy favourites for this game and we’re expecting them to clear away in the fourth quarter.

LA Lakers vs. Houston Rockets @ Toyota Centre
It was all going too well for the Lakers but the nine-game winning streak came to an abrupt end on Thursday.
They suffered a shock home loss to the Orlando Magic and it’s clear that when Anthony Davis is rested, they’re not the same team.
To their credit, the Lakers were missing more than just Davis. They should get Rondo back for this game and they’ll be wanting to make a statement against the Houston Rockets.
Houston is 26-14 on a season which has been inconsistent to date. They have lost three of their last four games against opponents they should have put away.
Losses to the Thunder, Grizzlies and Trail Blazers won’t please the coach, who is already under pressure.
Houston is scoring 118.7 points per game, with James Harden attributing 37.2 of those. However, they are giving up 114 points per game and that puts massive pressure on the offense.
The Lakers are a team that can put the points on teams with bad defenses. Houston is going to need to muscle up on defense, otherwise they could continue their losing ways.
Punters should expect a close betting market from bookmakers. The Lakers would have been firm favourites if Davis was playing, but if he’s out of the team, Houston could have the edge in betting.
Either way, the Lakers are the better side.

Portland Trail Blazers vs. Oklahoma City Thunder @ Chesapeake Energy Arena
This is an intriguing matchup on Saturday as the improving Blazers face off against the upstart Thunder.
It has been a weird start to the season for the Blazers but they’re starting to put some wins together.
Recent wins over Charlotte and Houston has seen them restore some confidence and they could knock off another talented team this Saturday.
The Thunder have exceeded expectations at 23-18 but any team with Chris Paul playing usually has a good record. However, they haven’t found a dominant scorer and that could be problematic for the rest of the season.
A lack of shooting isn’t good, especially in the west, and we think the Thunder will begin to struggle with winning consistently.
They have suffered recent losses to the Lakers and Raptors. They came against top teams, so we’ll cut them some slack. However, they have picked up some injuries and that’s not going to help their situation.
Oklahoma should be the favourite for this game but we’re picking the upset.
