NBA Betting Tips
Philadelphia 76ers vs. Brooklyn Nets @ Barclays Centre
The Brooklyn Nets looked good for a while but they have lost three consecutive games since the return of Kyrie Irving.
Holding a record of 18-23, the Nets play a return game against Philadelphia, having lost to them 117-106 last week. However, they controlled most of the game and were a touch unlucky not to come away with the win.
Statistically, the Nets allow more points than they score. They score 109.2 points per game and give up 111.5, which is a statistic they’ll need to improve on.
Philadelphia turned around a losing streak with three straight victories. Wins came over the Nets, Bulls and Knicks – all three teams are below .500 on the season.
Winning against top-level teams has been tough for Philadelphia and they need to improve in order to be taken seriously this season.
Scoring a statement win over the Nets will help with their confidence but we’re unsure if it’s going to be that easy.
76ers have an 8-14 away record and the Nets have a winning home record. If the Nets can play for four quarters instead of three this Tuesday, they’ll go close to winning this game.
We’re picking an upset result.

Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Houston Rockets @ Toyota Centre
There is real trouble with the Houston Rockets, which have lost three consecutive games coming into this game.
Losses to the Grizzlies, Trail Blazers and Lakers have put the Rockets firmly on the back foot and we could see an implosion soon.
There were already trade rumours surrounding Russell Westbrook a couple of weeks ago, and we might see more trade rumours pop up.
The only win they have in their last five games came to the Timberwolves. Prior to that, they lost to Oklahoma City 113-92 in Oklahoma.
The Thunder have exceeded expectations this season by posting a 24-19 record. They haven’t been incredible but they’re scoring more points than they’re giving up.
The same goes for the Rockets, but the margin between points scored and points allowed is consistently shortening.
Scoring points have been Houston’s problem of late. They scored only 110, 107, and 115 points over the last three games, which is below their 118.6 average.
If they lose this game to the Thunder, all hell could break loose in Houston. It might send them over the edge and playing with that on your shoulders is tough.
Look for Chris Paul and the Thunder to keep this game close and potentially score an upset win on the road.
Bookmakers will have the Rockets as favourites but we’re expecting good money to come for the visiting team on Tuesday.

LA Lakers vs. Boston Celtics @ TD Garden
It’s the marquee game of the day as the 34-8 Lakers square off against the 27-14 Boston Celtics.
The Lakers could be missing both Anthony Davis and Rajon Rondo, but they weren’t needed to beat the Houston Rockets last week.
It was a dominant performance, winning 124-115, and LeBron James stepped up when he needed to.
LA has now won four of their last five games and although the lineup is always changing due to injuries, they still have a good team.
Boston is looking to bounce back after three consecutive defeats. Injuries have also played their part in the losses but the 123-119 loss to Phoenix was unexplainable.
That was their second consecutive loss at TD Garden, and the losses came to the Phoenix and the Pistons – two teams they should beat easily.
The problem has been their energy on defense. It hasn’t been up to scratch and it should worry coach Brad Stevens.
They’ll need to show better energy against the Lakers otherwise it could be a long day for the Celtics. However, they are typically tough to beat at home and this could be a statement win for the home side.
