NBA Betting Tips

Philadelphia 76ers vs Atlanta Hawks @ Wells Fargo Centre

The Atlanta Hawks somehow managed to win Game Four despite being down by six points late in the fourth quarter.

It was a semi-choke from the Philadelphia 76ers, who now need to recoup and win at home, which hasn’t been hard for them this season.

Philadelphia went 29-7 during the regular season at Wells Fargo Centre and that can’t be overlooked. The 76ers looked good winning consecutive games, including a 118-102 victory at home. It was a quality outing and they will be wanting to replicate that effort on Thursday.

Joel Embiid continues to play well and if Ben Simmons can stay aggressive, they should be tough to beat despite Atlanta coming off a win.

Trae Young has been leading the way for the Hawks. He is the driving force behind the team and he has matured into one of the premier shooting point guards in the NBA.

Atlanta is a team that can get hot, as they showed in the fourth quarter on Tuesday. They have a wealth of knock-down shooters, and they also have Clint Capela who can score in the paint.

It’s a well-balanced team, but with the pressure on Philadelphia to come up big, we’re backing it to get the job done.

Bookmakers have the 76ers as –6.5 favourites, which isn’t surprising. They are always tough to beat at home and we expect them to take a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series.

Bet: Philadelphia 76ers –6.5 @ $1.90Bet @ Sportsbet

Utah Jazz vs Los Angeles Clippers @ Vivint Smart Home Arena

Winning at home has been the theme of this series with both the Jazz and Clippers winning consecutive games with home court advantage.

The series moves back to Utah where the Jazz have an imposing record. They went 31-5 at home during the regular season and that record is tough to overlook, even though they’re coming two tough losses in Los Angeles.

Utah was outplayed considerably in LA, losing 132-106 and 118-104. They were outplayed from the opening whistle, so it will need to rebound and find the form that saw it win the first two games.

Not having Mike Conley is starting to have an effect, and although his status is still undetermined, we don’t think he’ll play. That leaves the offence up to Donovan Mitchell, who has been lights out.

Mitchell is an elite scorer and there is no denting his confidence. He hasn’t had a bad game throughout the series and he’ll need it. He’s the only premier scorer on this team, so he’s bearing the load of responsibility.

Los Angeles comes in the more confident team having won the last two meetings. It’s not as good on the road, but Paul George and Kawhi Leonard are now confident and they could be tough to stop.

Bookmakers are respecting the road team. The Clippers are $2.20 to cause an upset, but we’re sticking with the Jazz. They have an ability to go up another level playing in front of a home crowd.

It’s a sight to see when Utah starts to roll and we’ll happily take the –3 spread.

Bet: Utah Jazz -3 @ $1.90Bet @ Sportsbet
