NBA Betting Tips

Denver Nuggets vs Orlando Magic @ Amway Center

The Denver Nuggets suffered a rare loss on Sunday when losing to the New Orleans Pelicans at home.

Denver now travels to play the Orlando Magic, which are desperate for some success this season. The Magic are 14-28 and the NBA playoffs don’t appear to be on the horizon.

Despite beating Brooklyn 121-113 last week, the Magic were unable to keep it up against Boston. The 112-96 effort was poor, so punters are having a hard time trusting Orlando this season.

With only nine home wins to its record, Orlando is struggling, but it has been helped by recent additions to the squad. The Magic were walking wounded for most of 2021, but with Evan Fournier and a few other pieces back on court, they have upside.

It’s a long way back for the Magic, who are eight games back of the surging Hawks, and taking on teams like Denver won’t help.

The Nuggets ended a three-game winning streak against the Pelicans, but 13 of their 25 wins have come on the road. Playing at Amway Center holds no fears and with an 8-2 record over the last 10 games, Denver should be tough to beat.

Slowing down Nikola Jokic isn’t easy and although Nikola Vucevic is a star for Orlando, the Nuggets might have too much firepower on Wednesday.

Washington Wizards vs New York Knicks @ Madison Square Garden

The New York Knicks come off a heartbreaking overtime loss to Philadelphia, but they will take plenty of confidence from the effort.

New York is now 21-22 and battling injury concerns with Derrick Rose and Austin Rivers, but the only way is up for this team.

Julius Randle is averaging 23 points per game and he also leads the Knicks in rebounding and assists. It’s not just a one-man ship for New York, but Randle is the driving force.

Washington has been one of the most frustrating teams for punters. The Wizards are 15-26 despite Bradley Beal averaging 32.1 points per game and Russell Westbrook just shy of a triple-double average.

The biggest problem has come on the defensive end, which sees the Wizards allow 120 points per game. It’s a shocking defensive average from a team that has a quality roster.

More emphasis has been put on scoring points instead of stopping the opposition, which is a concern for any NBA team.

New York could expose that on Wednesday and put up plenty of points. Randle should have a field day in the paint and there are no Wizards defenders prepared to muscle up.

There is good value with New York and with the confidence of pushing Philadelphia close on Monday, it could be enough to get past the Wizards.

Phoenix Suns vs Miami Heat @ AmericanAirlines Arena

Phoenix has one of the best records in the NBA at 28-13 and they are currently leading the Pacific division, which includes the Clippers and Lakers.

The Suns come off consecutive wins over Minnesota and Los Angeles Lakers. The latter was without LeBron James in the lineup, so they were expected to score a comfortable victory.

With a 13-5 record away from home, Phoenix looks like a genuine contender this season. Chris Paul and Devin Booker are running things well and DeAndre Ayton is a beast on the boards.

Everything points towards this being a successful season for Phoenix, but beating Miami won’t be easy on Wednesday.

The Heat were one of the hottest teams post-All-Star break, but with three losses in a row, they have hit a brick wall.

Miami lost to Memphis before losing consecutive games to Indiana, which isn’t something any team wants on its record.

Punters always have to respect Miami playing at home, but there is more momentum with the Phoenix and they should be too good.
