NBA Betting Tips

Houston Rockets vs. Charlotte Hornets @ Spectrum Centre

The Houston Rockets are going through another bad phase, but this one is coming at the wrong time. They have lost back-to-back games to the New York Knicks and the LA Clippers. One of those losses was expected, but losing to the Knicks is an embarrassment.

Houston is looking to steady the ship against the 21-41 Charlotte Hornets, which is also riding a two-game losing streak. The losses came to Milwaukee and San Antonio, but they looked good prior to that when beating the Knicks and Raptors.

Charlotte is very much in a rebuilding phase and it could take a few years to see their best efforts. However, they’re still producing competitive efforts and the young side doesn’t roll over easily.

The Rockets should have the class edge to get past the Hornets, but it might not be easy. Russell Westbrook and James Harden need to start producing more consistent efforts.

Bookmakers will have Houston as firm favourites and we expect them to win.

Atlanta Hawks vs. Memphis Grizzlies @ FedEx Forum

It’s hard not to be excited about the future of both teams. The Atlanta Hawks look stacked for next season and the Grizzlies are overachieving this season.

Atlanta might be 19-44 on the season, but that could have easily been 35-30 if they had a healthy team. Trae Young was a superstar in college and he’s showing his skills at the professional level. He is scoring 29.6 points per game, and he’s helped out by the likes of Deandre Hunter.

For the Grizz, they have a more balance profile, but #2 draft pick Ja Morant is doing his job. The first-year player is averaging 17.6 points per game and he’s only going to improve.

It all makes for a good game this Sunday and both teams have produced good recent efforts. The Hawks beat the Nets and Trail Blazers last week before losing to Memphis. It was a one-sided game on that occasion, but don’t count this team out at any stage.

Memphis has won three in a row, including wins over the Hawks, Nets, and an upset win over the Lakers. The 105-88 win was a statement performance from the Grizzlies and they’re in with a good chance to make the playoffs.

We’re going with the Grizzlies but we wouldn’t be surprised to see a 124-120 score line.

Sacramento Kings vs. Portland Trail Blazers @ Moda Centre

Two teams on the outside looking in face each other on Sunday. The Kings and Blazers need to make a winning run, otherwise they won’t be playing post-season ball.

They both enter this game with good form; the Kings have won four of their last five, and the Blazers have won their last two. It will be the fourth time they have faced each other this season, with the Trail Blazers taking two of three.

The most recent result was a 127-116 win to Portland, but the Kings are more than capable of bouncing back. We think they could push the Trail Blazers in this game, and punters will get value odds.

Back the Kings with the points, as they should give punters a good sight and they’re building nicely towards the end of the season.
