We have NBA picks and predictions for Thursday, May 14th, which features Game 6 between the Cavaliers and Pistons

Cavaliers vs. Pistons Best Bet

Pistons –3.5 @ $1.90

The Pistons might have lost Game 5 on Tuesday with a terrible third quarter, but we liked the way they battled hard in the fourth quarter. That game was in Cleveland, so they weren’t expected to win, and coming back to Detroit only helps their chances.

They have been the better team in this series so far, and the home team has won each of the Cavaliers’ last 14 games. Therefore, they don’t play well on the road, and that was evident earlier in the series when the Pistons won 111-101 and 107-97.

Cade Cunningham is playing well, and although he had only 19 points on Tuesday, his form improves significantly at home. He had 32 and 23 points in Game 1 and 2 respectively, and he’s getting scoring help from Tobias Harris, whose NBA Finals experience has come through.

We think bookmakers have missed the trick with the current –3.5 line, and we’re jumping on it before money comes for the Pistons.

Cavaliers vs. Pistons SGM

Pistons –3.5, Cade Cunningham Over 26.5 Points, Tobias Harris Over 18.5 Points, Over 212.5 Points @ $8.00

Punters should expect a good scoring performance from Cunningham and Harris. They played below their best in Game 5, but it was mostly circumstantial, and the poor scoring effort from the Pistons in the third quarter didn’t help.

Cunningham is an elite scorer, and he showed that when scoring 32 points in the opening game of the series. He will want to establish that dominance, and there is no reason to bet against him in Game 6. We’re including him in our NBA SGM picks at the current line.

Harris had totals of 30, 20, 21, and 21 points before scoring 16 on Tuesday. He has been a model of consistency, which is why we’re including him to score over 18.5 points. It’s a lower line than expected, and it’s worth jumping on.

There are enough points in these teams to bet the over with confidence. The 212.5-point line is lower than expected, and our final score prediction has the Pistons winning 113-104.
