The Spurs –1.5 is one of our best NBA bets of the week and we have them taking control of the NBA Western Conference Finals.

They won Game 1 in overtime before the Thunder tied the series on Thursday. However, we didn’t think the Spurs got the rub of the green, and with Williams suffering another injury for the Thunder, they could struggle to put up points.

Victor Wembanyama continues to fire on all cylinders, and we don’t see how they stop him on his home floor. The Spurs have been excellent at home throughout the playoffs, and they should be tough to beat in their first home game of this series.

We recommend taking the –1.5 line before money comes for the Spurs. There is a growing confidence that they can win this series, and for that to happen, the need to protect their home floor advantage. We expect them to win by 6-8 points, which is enough to comfortably cover the spread.

Thunder vs. Spurs SGM

Spurs –1.5, Stephon Castle Over 18.5 Points, Chet Holmgren Under 14.5 Points, Over 217.5 Points @ $8.50

Stephon Castle has been a revelation this season for the Spurs, and although he has been turnover prone during the playoffs, his scoring numbers have improved. He scored 25 points in Game 2, including a highlight dunk, and his confidence levels should be high enough to have another big outing, so back him to score over 18.5 points.

Chet Holmgren has only 21 points from the first two games combined, and his effectiveness has been thwarted by Wemby. He’s not able to get into the paint, and he’s also reluctant to shoot threes due to Wemby’s ability to close out. Under 14.5 points is a good NBA SGM pick to boost payouts.

Both games have gone over, and we don’t see any reason to jump ship. They’re two of the best attacking teams in the NBA, and it should result in another high-scoring affair on Saturday.
