We have NBA picks and predictions for Saturday, November 8th, which features the Celtics vs. Magic, Rockets vs. Spurs, and Warriors vs. Nuggets.
Our picks include a best bet and NBA same game multi, and we’re looking forward to the NBA action this week.
Celtics vs. Magic Predictions
—
Best Bet
It will be a tough Eastern Conference matchup between the Celtics and Magic, and we have the Magic doing enough at home.
They lost to the Hawks in their most recent game, but they looked good with wins over Charlotte and Washington. We haven’t seen the best from the Magic yet, and that’s why we’re backing them to beat the Celtics.
Typically, the Celtics would be the best pick, but we are concerned about their depth without Jayson Tatum. They are missing him as their primary scorer, so back the Magic to cover the –3.5 spread.
—
Same Game Multi
Our NBA same game multi has Paolo Banchero over 24.5 points. He’s the heart and soul of the Magic team, and they need him to score points to win. The 24.5-point line is fair from bookmakers, and we predict him scoring around 27-28 points.
Derrick White has been an integral part of the Celtics’ success, but he could struggle to contribute offensively on Saturday. We have him scoring under 16.5 points, in what should be a low-scoring and tough defensive battle at Kia Center.
—
Rockets vs. Spurs Predictions
—
Best Bet
The Rockets are starting to look like the team we picked to win the NBA Championship. They are riding a good winning streak after winning over Dallas and Memphis, and beating the Spurs on the road is a good test of their championship mettle.
Kevin Durant gets a good chance to get one over Victor Wembanyama, as Luka Doncic did on Thursday when the Spurs lost in heartbreaking fashion to the Lakers. That loss could be tough to come back from, and the Rockets are our best bet to take advantage of the situation.
Take the –2.5 line, as it could firm on game day.
—
Same Game Multi
Victor Wembanyama comes off two games where he underperformed. He scored nine points against the Phoenix before scoring 19 points against the Lakers. That’s a concerning sign for someone who was putting up MVP numbers. If he’s carrying an injury, we want to bet against him, so back him to score under 25.5 points.
Conversely, if Wemby isn’t at his best, Alperen Sengun will take advantage. The Rockets centre is a gifted player on both offence and defence, and he has over 20.5 points in him.
We have over 223.5 points included in our NBA SGM. The final score should be around 117-119, which is enough for the over to cash.
—
Warriors vs. Nuggets Predictions
—
Best Bet
Steph Curry might not be playing for the Warriors, but that doesn’t mean that they can’t cover the spread against the Nuggets.
Pressure is on the Warriors to perform after dropping three of their last four games. However, we have been impressed by Jonathan Kuminga, and his numbers will only improve every time Curry isn’t on the floor.
They still have Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green to run the show, and Butler will likely start and play more minutes. That’s enough for the Warriors to keep it close and cover the +7.5 start on the road.
—
Same Game Multi
Kuminga scored 24 points against the Kings in a losing effort, and he’s our best scorer bet for Saturday’s action. He hasn’t been the most consistent player, but he gets his chance to showcase his ability with Curry sitting out.
Draymond Green should control the tempo of the game, and that starts on the defensive end. Look for the seasoned pro to rebound well and get the Warriors out in transition. Include Green over 6.5 rebounds in NBA multis.
We also have under 227.5 points in our NBA same game multis. It could be a tough shooting night for many of these players.
