We have expert betting predictions for the two NBA Finals games on Thursday.
The Celtics took a 3-2 series lead over Toronto on Tuesday, so this is do-or-die for the Raptors.
We also look at the Clippers vs. Nuggets Game 4, which sees the Clippers with a 2-1 lead.
NBA Playoffs Betting Tips
Toronto Raptors vs. Boston Celtics Game 6
Punters have been getting good odds for Boston throughout this series, and although they lost consecutive games, punters have been rewarded.
Bookmakers have the Celtics at the shortest price they have been throughout the series against Toronto. Their current Game 6 odds are $1.62, which is lower than the winning prices of $2.10, $2, and $1.85.
The odds are justified, as the Celtics scored an excellent Game 5 win on Tuesday. The 111-89 score line was reflective of their dominance and many believe that will roll over to the game on Thursday.
However, Toronto have fighting qualities and they are the defending champions for a reason. They have shown an ability to bounce back and they only need to improve slightly to win.
The Raptors are desperate for more production from Pascal Siakam, who looked great in the regular season but has yet to flourish against Boston.
The Celtics have played him well defensively, but he hasn’t been commanding the ball as expected. Siakam needs to show why he was one of the most improved players in 2020, otherwise, the Raptors will be heading back to Canada.
Boston is a team that doesn’t need their star players to play well every day. If Jason Taytum is having an off night, look for Marcus Smart, Kemba Walker, or Jaylen Brown to pick up the slack.
The Celtics are a team that is capable of going all the way, providing they stick to their guns and don’t turn the ball over.
We expect the Celtics to wrap up the series 4-2 on Thursday, so take the $1.62 in the head-to-head market.

Denver Nuggets vs. Los Angeles Clippers Game 4
Despite some nervous moments throughout the game, the Los Angeles Clippers came away with the victory in Game 3.
It didn’t look as though the Clippers were going to get the job done, and punters that took them to win the NBA title were in doubt. However, the class of Kawhi Leonard stood out, as he rallied the Clippers back from a double-digit deficit.
The Clippers were down by as many as 12 points at one stage, but they quickly turned that around and established a lead in the fourth quarter. They held on for a six-point win, which meant Denver covered the +9-point spread.
Bookmakers have given the Nuggets slightly more respect for Thursday’s game, with the margin set at 7.5. The Nuggets are a team that could do one of two things; either fold up and be blown out, or take the game to the Clippers.
If the latter is to happen, Jamal Murray will need to find his scoring shoes once again. Murray was electric in the Utah series, when the Jazz gave him wide-open looks, but the Clippers play defense.
He hasn’t been able to get open shots, and when he has, he’s missed his opportunities. If Denver are going to make a game of it, Murray will need to help out Nikola Jokic in the scoring department.
Jokic has been his usual self throughout the playoffs, which involves knocking down three pointers and finding his spot in the paint. However, his defense is consistently being exposed by the Clippers.
Leonard, in particular, has been able to get any shot he wants. He is getting close to the key and pulling up, much like Michael Jordan used to do. It isn’t a pretty sight for Denver backers, but Clippers’ fans will be liking what they’re seeing.
It is a tough game to call on Thursday, but the class of the Clippers could be too much in Game 4. Denver has done well to this point and we give them credit, but LA is on the road to the NBA finals.
