Denver Nuggets vs. Los Angeles Clippers Game 5
The Nuggets had every chance to take Game 4 on Thursday, but they couldn’t come up with the goods when it mattered most.
Porter Jr and Jamal Murray were particularly disappointing and they look both tired and frustrated by the stout LA defense.
What sets the Clippers apart from other teams in the west is their defense. It has been excellent throughout the season, and the big scoring totals for the Nuggets have dried up considerably.
They were scoring big totals against Utah, but they have been held to 97, 110, 107, and 85 against the Clippers.
Noted scorers Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic have been quiet, which doesn’t leave the Nuggets with many other scoring options. Porter Jr has been turning the ball over too easily, and his defense is anything to be desired.
The same goes for Jokic, who would be considered as the league’s best centre if only he could defend the pick and roll.
For the Clippers, it was business as usual as they grounded out a 96-85 win. They were able to go on long scoring runs despite being in foul trouble.
Kawhi Leonard continues to show he’s the one of the best players in the league, and he was getting great input from Ivica Zubac and the ageless Lou Williams.
Much like every game in this series, the Clippers as the –8 favourites. We are expecting them to score an easy win in this game, and put the Nuggets to bed without much fuss.
Denver has exhausted all their resources and they’ll do well to make a game out of this.

Boston Celtics vs. Toronto Raptors Game 7
The refs were the talking point of Game 6, but it shouldn’t take away from a mammoth effort from the Toronto Raptors.
With their backs against the wall and facing an exit from the playoffs, they forced double overtime to come away with a three-point win.
It was a drama-filled game that could have gone either way, but NBA fans aren’t complaining. We now get a Game 7 to bet on, and it should live up to expectations.
Toronto are the defending NBA champions and they are showing why. They have yet to lead this series, but they could hit the lead when it counts.
A 4-3 series win to Toronto would be an incredible story, considering their best player, Pascal Siakam, has struggled throughout.
Siakam can’t find his shooting rhythm and it’s hurting the Raptors. However, counting out a team with Kyrie Lowry on the court is a mistake. Lowry was the reason why we’re going to a Game 7, and his tenacious defense and timely shooting could be the difference again.
If Toronto are to win this game, expect Lowry to be the forefront of their offensive production. Siakam isn’t doing enough and we’re not sure how much ball he’s going to get.
Boston have already let this series slip, so their mental attitude will be interesting. They have been the better side throughout the series, but they have somehow lost three games.
A more consistent production from Jason Taytum and Kemba Walker is needed, because Jaylen Brown is doing his best.
Brown has been their best player throughout the series, but Walker and Tatum have been disappointing. More points productions are needed from both players, but if it comes, Boston won’t be losing.
Momentum is clearly with Toronto, but we are sticking with our guns and picking Boston to win. They are capable of winning the NBA title this year, and although this series is going all the way, they could benefit from it.
Take Boston to win at $1.70 odds, which is a fair price, and enjoy what should be another exciting NBA finals game.
