There’s only five NBL games for punters to bet on this week, but there are some mouthwatering clashes.
The round tips off with an all-Queensland clash between the Bullets and Taipans on Thursday and later in the week is the return game between the Breakers and 36ers.
Only Cairns will play twice this week, which should have a big impact on the NBL ladder. Three teams are currently tied for third place, so round 10 couldn’t be any more important this week.
7:30pm Cairns Taipans vs. Brisbane Bullets
The Brisbane Bullets couldn’t quite match the brilliance of the New Zealand Breakers last Thursday night, but they rebounded well with a 85-77 win over the Kings.
Sydney might not be much opposition this season, but the Bullets looked somewhat improved in round nine and the Taipans will have their work cut out for them at home.
Sitting at 7-7 on the season, the Taipans are looking to build off a tough 79-70 win over Melbourne United last week and it’s their defense which is shining through.
Limiting a team such as United to only 70 points was a mammoth effort and the Bullets might be hard-pressed to score the game.
Bookmakers currently don’t have odds up for this game, but the Taipans should be the favourites.

5:30pm New Zealand Breakers vs. Adelaide 36ers
Adelaide were able to get off to a fast start against the Breakers last week before holding on to a three-point gap after 40 minutes.
The 36ers looked impressive on their home floor and they forced the Breakers into shooting some very poor shots. That will be their tactic again this week, but playing away from home hasn’t been the recipe for success this season.
Having fallen out of the top spot after three losses from their last four games, the Breakers will be eager to notch their 11th win of the season this Friday night.
With one of the best rosters in the competition, the Breakers have no excuse to not come away with the win here and we think they will get back on track.

5:30pm Perth Wildcats vs. Brisbane Bullets
It’s a rare afternoon game for the Perth Wildcats as they look to cement their position at the top of the table.
With a win over the Illawarra Hawks last week, the Wildcats moved equal with the Breakers with 10 wins on the season from only 13 games.
Having dominated the NBL over the past few seasons, nothing seems to be getting in the way for the westerners and we can’t see the Bullets posing much of a threat.
The Bullets will have to fly from Cairns on Thursday to Perth on Saturday and they’re just not suited to playing away from home.
Perth look rock solid in every position and this could be a blood bath as the bookmakers are predicting.

7:30pm Illawarra Hawks vs. Melbourne United
Illawarra put up a fight against the Wildcats last week and were even leading by a point at halftime, but despite scoring 91 points, their defense let them down.
That could again be a problem against United this week as they’re coming off a stunning 95-69 win against the Kings.
United have been under the pump from critics all season long about their inept offensive production, but the talented roster finally clicked into gear on Monday night.
Chris Goulding scored a game-high 23 points for Melbourne, but bookmakers are treating this team with caution.
Melbourne is currently the underdog to win this game in what should be a close contest, but the Hawks have only five wins this season so we’ll stick with the team with more improvement to come.

3:00pm Sydney Kings vs. Cairns Taipans
It appears as though the introduction of all-star point guard Jerome “Ant Man” Randle hasn’t been enough to inspire the Kings.
Following a disappointing 69-95 defeat at the hands of United on Monday, the Kings will need to rebound to earn back the trust of punters.
That loss saw them drop to only three wins and 12 losses on the season, but once again the bookmakers have installed them as red-hot favourites.
Bookies currently have the Kings as $1.42 favourites and we understand that the Taipans aren’t as good away from home, but those odds are way too short for our liking.
Take the better team with the points this Sunday.
