Hawks vs. United Predictions

Best Bet
United will be wanting to bounce back from a loss to Sydney with a win against Illawarra two days later. It wasn’t a bad performance; Sydney just played slightly better in the first half.
Playing the Hawks at home is never an easy matchup, but the Hawks haven’t been playing well after getting hammered by the New Zealand Breakers last week. That came at home, so it was a shock loss for last year’s champions.
Melbourne has much more depth at their disposal, and that should be enough to cover the –5.5 spread. It’s a fair line from bookmakers for the NBL Championship favourites.

Same Game Multi
Jesse Edwards had a big game against Sydney with 25 points, and while his teammates didn’t come to the party, he stood up above the rest. We fancy Edwards to have another good game offensively, and punters get $2.10 for him to score 15+ points.
Todd Blanchfield is always good for a few rebounds. He had seven against the Breakers, and he could get them when JaVale McGee is off the court. He’s a good NBL multi bet inclusion.
We’re including under 184.5 points. We don’t see the Hawks putting up too many points, so the final score line could be around 94-87.

Best Value Bet
Chris Goulding didn’t have a good game against Sydney, but he typically fires back when he’s under pressure.
He scored totals of 22 and 23 points earlier this year, so he’s capable of putting up big totals if the three pointers are dropping. We expect him to have a big game against Illawarra’s defence, which often gets caught napping on the outside.
We’ll take the $4.80 odds from bookmakers for one of the best NBL scorers of all time.
