The Kings’ two losses during the NBL Finals have come by a combined three points, but their wins at home have come by big margins.

They won by 44 and 13 points at home, and although covering a –8.5 spread in a winner-take-all game on Sunday won’t be easy, it’s hard to look against the recent statistics, which favour Sydney being too good for Perth.

Credit goes to the Wildcats for forcing a Game 5, and they held their own at Adelaide Entertainment Centre. However, they haven’t been nearly as impressive when playing in Sydney, and that’s a big worry for Game 5.

Most of the money has come for the Kings to cover the spread, and some Kendric Davis magic could be all they need to secure the title with an emphatic performance.

It has been a relatively high-scoring finals series, where defence has played second fiddle. That bodes well for over 188.5 points, and their two meetings in Sydney resulted in 180 and 199 points. Include the over in NBL same game multi picks.

The points could come from Kendric Davis and Xavier Cooks. Davis had 22 points in Adelaide in Game 4, which followed a 34-point showing in Sydney in Game 3. Something like that could be on the cards on Sunday.

We also expect a good scoring night from Cooks. He has had three consecutive games of 16+ points, so the 14.5-point line is lower than expected.
