However, Sydney and Brisbane could make a late run, but they would need a lot of help. We have our best tips for all Round 21 games.

NBL Round 21 Predictions

Tuesday 1/06/21

Illawarra Hawks vs Perth Wildcats @ WIN Entertainment Centre

The Hawks looked good last week, winning against the Breakers on Friday before beating the Adelaide 36ers on Sunday.

They were much-needed wins and although a playoff berth isn’t guaranteed, it will be if the beat Perth on Tuesday.

The Wildcats are clear from Illawarra and the Phoenix, but they’re seeking the top spot. A win over Illawarra puts them tied with Melbourne, so they want it.

We’re giving the edge to Illawarra, which has home court advantage.

Bet: Illawarra Hawks to win @ $1.90Bet @ Sportsbet

New Zealand Breakers vs Cairns Taipans @ Energy Events Centre

Cairns scored an overdue win against the Phoenix last week and although it was a credit to their attitude, we don’t think it will continue.

New Zealand endured a tough Round 20, losing games to Illawarra and Brisbane. However, they didn’t play too poorly and we think they can rebound.

Punters get value odds for New Zealand, so it’s worth backing.

Bet: New Zealand Breakers to win @ $1.90Bet @ Sportsbet

S.E. Melbourne Phoenix vs Brisbane Bullets @ Cairns Pop Up Arena

It’s listed as a home game for the Phoenix, but playing in Queensland is only going to help Brisbane.

The Bullets are trying to make a last-ditch effort to make the playoffs, but they need plenty of things to fall in their favour.

S.E. Melbourne comes off a loss to Cairns, so they’re ripe for the taking. We think Brisbane can win the game and make a desperate push for the last qualifying spot.

Bet: Brisbane Bullets to winBet @ Sportsbet

Illawarra Hawks vs Sydney Kings @ WIN Entertainment Centre

Illawarra plays its second game of the week and it’s another tough one. The Kings are one game behind the Phoenix, so depending on results, this game could have huge implications.

However, we like the Hawks’ run to the finals and we think they can continue their fine run of form. Staying at home helps and the Hawks have the explosive talent to beat Caspar Ware and the Kings.

Bet: Illawarra Hawks to winBet @ Sportsbet

Friday 4/06/21

Perth Wildcats vs Melbourne United @ RAC Arena

The top two teams meet in what could decide the top spot. Perth is playing its second game this week and that could give them the edge.

Melbourne has been tough to beat, but it has lost two of the last four games and Perth has won three of its last four.

We’re expecting a tough game in front of a big crowd, and we’re giving the edge to the home side.

Bet: Perth Wildcats to winBet @ Sportsbet

Saturday 5/06/21

New Zealand Breakers vs S.E. Melbourne Phoenix @ Trusts Arena

The Phoenix might be desperate to win this game and that could be enough to get them over the line.

Returning home hasn’t resulted in too many wins for the Breakers, who are struggling with injuries to the likes of Tom Abercrombie.

S.E. Melbourne could capitalise on that and steal a win on the road to put them in a potential playoff position.

Bet: S.E. Melbourne Phoenix to winBet @ Sportsbet

Sydney Kings vs Brisbane Bullets @ Qudos Bank Arena

The Kings and Bullets are in desperate need of a win and we’re picking the Kings to come out ahead.

They are a quality team on any given day and although not the most consistent, they have the ability to close out the season strong.

Brisbane hasn’t been overly good and although trying to make a late run, it could come to a close here.

Bet: Sydney Kings to winBet @ Sportsbet

Sunday 6/06/21

Melbourne United vs Adelaide 36ers @ John Cain Arena

United should take care of the 36ers, in what could be a one-sided affair at John Cain Arena.

Melbourne is fighting for a top-placed finish in the NBL and Adelaide’s season was over a few weeks ago. Therefore, we expect United to be short-priced favourites to win.

They should be firing on all cylinders and score an easy victory to end the regular season.

Bet: Melbourne United to winBet @ Sportsbet

Tuesday 8/06/21

Brisbane Bullets vs S.E. Melbourne Phoenix @ Nissan Arena

It’s a tough game to call because it could have big implications or none at all. Either way, we like the Phoenix to close out their season with a win.

It hasn’t been the easiest time for the Phoenix, but when they’re focused, they are one of the hardest teams to beat.

Brisbane hasn’t been consistent enough to make the playoffs, and we don’t think it will happen.

Bet: S.E. Melbourne Phoenix to winBet @ Sportsbet
