We have expert betting tips for all six NBL Round 8 games this week.
The Sydney Kings and Melbourne United have established themselves as the teams to beat this season.
What does that mean for the other teams? It means every game is vital from Round 8 onwards, which makes for an exciting week.
It all starts on Friday with the Bullets vs. 36ers in Brisbane.
NBL Round 8 Betting Tips
7:30pm Brisbane Bullets vs. Adelaide 36ers @ Nissan Arena
Brisbane bounced back from a poor start to score consecutive victories in rounds three and four, but they have quickly regressed.
Back-to-back losses have been notched since and they’re going to need to hold home court advantage to avoid losing three in a row.
Heading into town are the Adelaide 36ers, which scored a terrific win over the Phoenix on Monday night.
That win should give Joey Wright’s team plenty of confidence and they could pull off the upset on Friday night.

5:30pm S.E Melbourne Phoenix vs. Sydney Kings @ Melbourne Arena
The Phoenix didn’t rise from the ashes against the 36ers on Monday and how they rebound will be interesting.
They were outplayed from the opening whistle and after a hot start to the season, they have been disappointing in losing three of their last four games.
The Kings, however, have been great so far in 2019. They have rattled off three consecutive victories and they deserve to be the favourites for this game.
Playing on the road has typically been tough for Sydney, but they have come of age this season and remain a force to be reckoned with.

8:00pm Cairns Taipans vs. Perth Wildcats @ Cairns Convention Centre
We have seen better basketball from the Cairns Taipans over the last couple of weeks. They have won two of their last four games and they typically play well at home.
However, taking on the Perth Wildcats is never easy given their scoring talent. The likes of Bryce Cotton and Terrico White haven’t been excellent this season, but it’s only a matter of time and that’s scary.
The Taipans could be in for a tough game on Saturday night. They’ll need to play their best lockdown defense against one of the best offenses in the NBL.
Can they cause an upset at $2.60? It’s possible, but history tells us to back the Wildcats with confidence in this matchup.

3:00pm Melbourne United vs. Brisbane Bullets @ Melbourne Arena
Melbourne United is absolutely trucking now after a tough start to the season. They haven’t lost for many weeks and now Brisbane is in the headlights.
Bookmakers have United as the shortest-priced favourites for the week and rightfully so. The price could drop if Brisbane are to lose on Friday night.
When healthy, Melbourne is the best team in the competition and their confidence levels are sky high at the moment.
That all spells danger for the Bullets and we’re expecting them to struggle.

5:00pm Adelaide 36ers vs. New Zealand Breakers @ Adelaide Entertainment Centre
We’re expecting the 36ers to get on a bit of a roll now that they have beaten the Phoenix.
However, how they play earlier in the week could determine their chances against the underperforming New Zealand Breakers.
It has been a tough season for the Breakers, who are now dealing with off-court issues with their American imports.
Four losses on the bounce is tough to come back from but they do have the talent to win. The likes of Tom Abercrombie and RJ Hampton could get hot at any stage.
A key injury early in the season didn’t help but they’re good enough to cause an upset at juicy odds.
A close game is expected.

7:30pm Illawarra Hawks vs. Cairns Taipans @ WIN Entertainment Centre
It has been an awful season for the Hawks so far, scoring just one win after seven weeks.
However, they have a chance to hold home court when the Cairns Taipans come to town this Monday night.
Neither team has really impressed us this season but the Hawks have been beyond poor. US recruit LaMelo Ball has been about the only positive for the team.
Cairns has a good chance to score a win on the road and they’ll be battle-hardened by their game earlier in the week.
