49ers vs. Eagles Predictions
—
Best Bet
Most of the early money has come for the Eagles, but the 49ers are a good team. They didn’t show that last week when losing 13-3 to the Seahawks, but they are good enough to turn that result around in the Wild Card Round.
Christian McCaffrey and Brock Purdy are good running back/quarterback combination when healthy, and that has been the main problem this season. Staying injury free is always big for the 49ers, but they get reinforcements in their offensive and defensive line this week.
That should give Purdy more time in the pocket, and the Eagles haven’t been stellar. They have lost to some poor teams, including Washington last week, and we can’t have them at $1.43 to win. That’s far too short, so take the 49ers to keep it close with a +4.5 start.

Same Game Multi
We are relying heavily on McCaffrey for our NFL same game multi, but the 49ers running back has class on his side.
He has scored a touchdown in four of his last five games, and with Purdy getting little time in the pocket, they have been using McCaffrey to pick up yardage. That’s why we like him to score a touchdown at $1.92 and rush for over 56.5 yards, which is an excellent bet. We have him rushing for around 70-80 yards, so he should do it comfortably.
A defensive battle could ensue, so include under 44.5 points. The final score is projected to be 20-17.

Best Value Bet
We’re not surprised NFL betting markets have given the Eagles respect as defending champions, but we haven’t been impressed by their standard of play.
They have notable losses to the Giants, Cowboys, Bears, Chargers, and the Commanders, so that’s hardly inspiring. Therefore, there is much better value with the 49ers at $2.83.
They won six straight games before losing last week, but the loss might be a blessing in disguise for punters hunting value NFL odds.
