The Lions have been in the shadow of the Eagles for a few years, but this could be their time to shine.
They bounced back from a loss to Minnesota with a comprehensive 44-22 win over Washington, and we weren’t overly impressed with the Eagles’ win over the Packers on Tuesday, despite coming away with the points.
We’re not sure if the Eagles are as good as last year, but the Lions have improved steadily. Their recent mixed form isn’t anything to be worried about, and their defence is good enough to stop Saquon Barkley in the running game.
That’s where this game will be won, and we also believe the Lions’ defence is more opportunistic.

He also has twice as many rushing TDs as Barkley, so we’re backing him to post the most rushing yards. His recent form has been excellent, and he often finds gaps through the middle of the field.
