The Super Bowl is the biggest sporting event in the US, and this year it’s the Kansas City Chiefs looking to win consecutive titles against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Kansas City opened as the $1.80 favourite, with Philadelphia at $2.05. It’s the market most punters expected given the Chiefs’ Super Bowl-winning experience, and we’re expecting a tight contest at Caesars Superdome on February 10.

The Chiefs have once again made the Super Bowl, and betting against the defending champions hasn’t proven profitable this season. However, despite Patrick Mahomes being the best quarterback in the lead and this team knowing how to win, Philadelphia can’t be overlooked.

The Eagles made Super Bowl LIX with a one-sided victory over the Washington Commanders, where quarterback Jalen Hurts used the short-yardage push to full advantage. Saquon Barkley was also dynamic, and we think they are good enough to rush past the Chiefs for the title.

They will use the run throughout the game, so the Chiefs’ defence will need to adapt. The Chiefs enter the Super Bowl with a close win over the Buffalo Bills, and it was more the Bills not taking their chances. It was also a pass-heavy game, so the Chiefs will need to sure up their run defence, which isn’t always the best.

We believe there is better value with the Eagles at $2.05. It’s a good price from bookmakers with Super Bowl odds, and all the Eagles need to do is play to their usual level and they’ll win. The Chiefs, despite going 15-2, are there to be beaten, and they could be exposed on the biggest stage of all.

After a poor start to the year, the Eagles have been the best team in the NFL. We’re happy to ride them in Super Bowl LIX, so take the Eagles to win and there is some security with the +1.5 line in case the Chiefs win by a point.

The current points line is 49.5, and we’re backing the under. It should be a low-scoring contest between the Chiefs and Eagles, despite what the Conference Championships scores suggest.

Defence will be much stronger in the Super Bowl, and we see Philadelphia controlling the tempo with its run game. It can take many minutes off the clock with one drive, which gives the over less chance of cashing.

Conversely, the Chiefs offence can pass down the field and score a quick touchdown. However, the Eagles defence is better than most in the NFL, and they can limit what Mahomes does offensively.

We see the final score being around 26-20 to the Eagles, so that’s enough wiggle room for punters to lock in under 49.5 for Super Bowl LIX.

Our top pick for Super Bowl LIX MVP is Saquon Barkley, who should have the biggest impact on the game.

The Eagles’ running back is odds-on to win the NFL MVP title this year and the race isn’t close. It was been an amazing bounce-back year for the former New York Giants RB, who battled injuries during his time in NY.

Since moving to Philadelphia, Barkley has been unstoppable. He scored another long rushing touchdown against the Commanders last week, and with the Eagles offensive line doing their job, he has been the main beneficiary.

Barkley is a $4.00 chance to win Super Bowl MVP, and those odds are too good to overlook. Mahomes is the $2.05 favorite, and he’ll likely win if the Chiefs win, but seeing as our pick is the Eagles, Barkley is our guy.
