We believe the Lions are a genuine Super Bowl contender, and the Vikings could be in for a tough game. The Lions are 5-2 and 3-0 at home and playing at Ford Field only helps their chances of covering the NFL spread.

They bounced back from a loss to the Chiefs with a 24-9 win over the Buccaneers. That was a strong showing, and the bye week came at exactly the right time. They have been nursing some injuries, so they come into this game fresh.

The Vikings were thumped 37-10 by the Chargers last week, which wasn’t a good showing. We don’t have much faith in the visitors, so back the Lions to score a comfortable double-figure win.

We’re going with two quality Lions players to score touchdowns in Jahmyr Gibbs and Amon-Ra St. Brown. Gibbs has been on a tear with six touchdowns, and the running back comes off a two-touchdown performance against Tampa Bay.

Most of the money has come for Gibbs to score the opening touchdown. We’re not surprised to see the Lions running back firm into $5.30 after scoring twice against the Buccaneers, and he gets given the ball close to the end zone.
