It was a strange week in the NRL with both the Dragons and the Warriors suffering mind-boggling losses in Round 10.
It’s one reason why the NRL is one of the most even competitions in the world as it’s clear that any team can win on any given day.
Round 11 features many even games and it starts off with a great Thursday night game between the Panthers and Tigers.

7:50pm Penrith Panthers vs. Wests Tigers @ Panthers Stadium
The Panthers have done well to currently sit at second on the premiership ladder despite the loss of Nathan Cleary, but he could be back for this game and that will be a problem for the Tigers.
Even if he doesn’t play, the Panthers are shown their attacking prowess this season under the guidance of James Maloney.
Maloney has been able to steer the Panthers around the park and their big forward pack has been another great asset.
The Tigers are backing up after a quality win last week but this is an away game where the atmosphere won’t be in their favour.
Betting tip: Panthers to win @ $1.60 (BET NOW)
Panthers by 8
6:00pm Parramatta Eels vs. New Zealand Warriors @ ANZ Stadium
It was tough work for both teams last week as the Eels lost a must-win game against the Bulldogs and the Warriors got pounded against the Roosters.
With injuries playing a major part in the Warriors’ season, another injury to Mason Lino isn’t going to help their chances without Shaun Johnson.
The loss of Isaac Luke is another blow for the Warriors and although they’re a much better team than the Eels, they could prove to be a slippery opponent here.
If the Eels have any heart they will get up for this game but the lack of leadership is a concern.
Betting tip: Eels to win @ $2.15 (BET NOW)
Eels by 8
7:55pm Brisbane Broncos vs. Sydney Roosters @ Suncorp Stadium
Punters should take note of the Roosters’ win last week and that form should start becoming more consistent this season.
It was a thrashing of the Warriors and the 32-0 score line did it justice. The forwards went straight through the Warriors pack and more could be in store this week, if the Broncos’ form is anything to go by.
The Broncos were woeful against the Sea Eagles and they showed nothing to get excited about.
They need to win as many games before the Origin period as they can, but that might be a tough ask against a Roosters team which is about to hit top gear.
Betting tip: Roosters to win @ $1.59 (BET NOW)
Roosters by 10
3:00pm Gold Coast Titans vs. Newcastle Knights @ Cbus Super Stadium
There are concerning signs for the Newcastle Knights after losing to the Panthers last week but playing the Titans should help things.
The Knights lost Mitchell Pearce earlier this season and they haven’t played very well since, but they should suit playing the Gold Coast Titans, which looked average against the Melbourne Storm.
The Titans are a team which punters are struggling to get behind this season and being a home underdog here signals their struggles.
We’re favouring the Knights here in what should be a close game.
Betting tip: Knights to win @ $1.77 (BET NOW)
Knights by 2
5:30pm North Queensland Cowboys vs. South Sydney Rabbitohs @ 1300Smiles Stadium
It’s desperate times for the North Queensland Cowboys, which were backed into second favouritism to win the competition at the start of the season but now languish in 14th spot.
It’s not about to get any easier as the South Sydney Rabbitohs come into town with a huge victory over the Dragons under their belt.
The Rabbitohs opened up as the $2 underdogs for this game but have been quickly backed into $1.75 in the head-to-head market.
We’re not discounting the champion qualities of the Cowboys but they have fallen on tough times and it’s hard to see a way out of it.
Betting tip: Souths to win @ $1.75 (BET NOW)
Souths by 10
7:35pm Melbourne Storm vs. Manly Sea Eagles @ AAMI Park
The Melbourne Storm hit back after losing to the Dragons by beating up on the Titans last week and that spells trouble for the Sea Eagles.
It has been a tough season for the Sea Eagles so far but they pulled out a win over the Broncos last week and a similar effort would take them close.
Unfortunately, that was a flash-in-the-pan performance and the Storm are another force altogether.
With Josh Addo-Carr in try-scoring form and they spine playing well, it will be tough for most teams to stop the Storm at the moment, let alone Manly.
Betting tip: Storm –6.5 @ $1.90 (BET NOW)
Storm by 18
2:00pm St George Dragons vs. Canberra Raiders @ Glen Willow Oval
Despite suffering a rare loss to the Rabbitohs last week, we’re predicting a big hit-back performance this time around.
They were thoroughly outplayed after dominating for most of the season but the Raiders are a much easier opponent and life should be happier for the Dragons this week.
The Raiders are coming off a shock loss to the Sharks on Sunday night and considering they were leading by eight points at half time, it wasn’t a good result.
More pain should be coming for the Raiders this week and the Dragons are set for a big performance.
Betting tip: Dragons –8.5 @ $1.90 (BET NOW)
Dragons by 12
4:10pm Cronulla Sharks vs. Canterbury Bulldogs @ Southern Cross Stadium
Both wins are coming off good wins last week and there could be value with the Bulldogs in this match up.
The Bulldogs scored a much-needed win over the Eels to keep their season alive and the Sharks came from behind to beat the Raiders.
Bookmakers have the Bulldogs as $2.70 underdogs in this game and given the ability of both teams, we’ll happily take the value on offer to close the round.
Betting tip: Bulldogs to win @ $2.70 (BET NOW)
Bulldogs by 4
