Broncos vs. Dragons Predictions

The NRL continues with Round 13 action between the Broncos vs. Dragons on Sunday, May 31 at 2:00pm at Suncorp Stadium.

The first of three games is Broncos vs. Dragons, where the Broncos are big favourites to win.

It’s not easy to bet on the Dragons, having not won a game all season, but we’re not betting on them to beat the Broncos.

They get a healthy +19.5 start, and with many of Brisbane’s players coming off State of Origin duty, they could take a half to find their best form. That could be enough for the Dragons to make a game of it, and they only need to defend solidly to cover the spread.

If the Dragons can limit the Broncos to around 24-28 points, they should cover the spread. The Broncos have only 16 points in their last two games against the Warriors and Sea Eagles, so they’re not playing well.

If the Dragons want to save face, it needs to be a competitive game on Sunday, so we’re giving them one more chance to show us something.

Setu Tu has three tries from his last four games, and although he might be a massive liability on defence, he’s scoring tries in a team that doesn’t score often. The $2.02 odds are generous enough to include in NRL SGM picks.

Gehamat Shibasaki hasn’t been scoring as often as usual recently, but we’re sticking with him at $2.08 odds. He is a power finisher, and he could get the Broncos up and running.

We expect this game to go well under the 54.5-point total. They’re struggling to put points on the board, and it shouldn’t change on Sunday.

We haven’t seen enough from the Broncos to suggest that they can win by 13+ points, so we’re snapping up the $3.90 odds for a 1-12 win.

They defeated the Tigers by only one point before beating the Bulldogs, but after losing to the Roosters, Sea Eagles, and Warriors, their confidence levels are low, and they’re nowhere near where they were in 2025.

If the Dragons can pressure them early, it should be a closer game than expected.
