Cowboys vs. Panthers Predictions – NRL Round 17 2026

The NRL continues with Round 17 action between the Cowboys vs. Panthers on Saturday, June 27 at 5:30pm at Queensland Country Bank Stadium.

The Panthers winning run came to an end last week, but they’re firm favourites to bounce back against the struggling Cowboys.

Best Bet

Panthers –13.5 @ $1.90

The opening line for the Panthers is long gone, but we still recommend backing them at –13.5 against the Cowboys.

There hasn’t been much joy for the Cowboys recently, who started the year well, but have steadily slipped back to their pre-season expectations.

The Panthers lead the NRL despite losing to Gold Coast last week, but getting their Origin players back in the team is a massive bonus. They desperately missed Nathan Cleary last week, but he should make up for lost time on Saturday evening.

We were disappointed by the edge defence from the Cowboys against the Warriors. They allowed five tries on the wings, so punters should expect the Panthers’ wingers to have a field day. Therefore, the –13.5 line should be covered by the Panthers, who won’t be worried by the travel.

Same Game Multi

Panthers –13.5, Thomas Jenkins Anytime Try Scorer, Brian To’o Anytime Try Scorer, Under 49.5 @ $8.00

It’s almost impossible to leave the Panthers’ wingers out of our selections. Given how poorly the Cowboys defended last week, Thomas Jenkins and Brian To’o should have no problem crossing the line.

Jenkins started the year on fire to lead the competition. His numbers have dried up somewhat, but he still has four tries in his last four games, including two doubles. To’o has six tries from his last five games, and he’ll be ready to fire after two disappointing Origin outings.

Our NRL SGM picks include under 49.5 points. We can’t see the Panthers defence being broken often by the Cowboys, so the final score could be around 36-10.

Best Value Bet

Thomas Jenkins 2+ Tries @ $2.85

We Jenkins scores tries, he often scores in bunches. He has two doubles in his last four games, and he will get plenty of opportunities to score.

He’s a great finisher, and he’s also a good high-ball threat. Despite not being the tallest player on the field, he times his jump perfectly, which could result in a couple of tries against the Cowboys.

The $2.85 odds are worth taking as a value bet.
